The Hope Scott Wing at Abbotsford provided a warm welcome, an intimate atmosphere and extremely comfortable accommodation for our visit. You can’t help but be touched by the history of the place – our party had a very memorable stay in a truly unique setting.
Bruce Deans, Edinburgh
Our group had a fantastic weekend. The tower itself is an amazing space and we managed to get to the clay pigeon shooting and a few walks so all good. Thanks also for the recommendation on Meldcat for the catering - Cathy was lovely and everyone enjoyed the food. There was a great pub about a 40 minute walk away as well which helped enormously. Will definitely be booking again some time.
Jo Bohling, London
We all had a fantastic time at Aikwood, it really is a very special place. I've given it some thought and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that has impressed me as much as Aikwood. I think the history and obvious care and attention from the family who own it and the fact that they have left so much of their personal history in situ makes you feel quite privileged to share the experience. Aikwood has also been modernised magnificently and so combines modern creature comforts within the tower effortlessly. Everybody had a fabulous time and we all agreed it felt too short. I couldn't recommend the place highly enough. Best wishes for 2012
A Ward, Edinburgh, Scotland
The weekend went so well, better than I ever could have wished for. Aldourie really is a magical place and Lavinia and her team are so incredible. They really are the best of the best and were so lovely to my parents. Thank you so much for all of your guidance, arranging and help Jenny. It really has been such an amazing experience, and Mum loved every minute of it.
Spargo family, Kent
Aldourie far exceeded our expectations. The house is, of course, remarkable. But the service and food provided by Lavinia and Richard were what made our stay so memorable. We will be back!
Jon - 60th Birthday Party, Boston, USA
“A fairytale experience, wonderful hospitality, a tiny piece of us will remain here forever”
John, Nessa, Lloyd and Maria
'We had a wonderful time at Aline. It's hard to imagine a more beautiful setting for a lodge, and we loved the variety of things to do from fishing, stalking and grouse over pointers to beach trips and surfing. A great family holiday'.
Jack Pitman, Hertfordshire
Alladale exceeded our expectations in every possible way. The house was so comfortable, Sarah was wonderful, infact every member of the team made a difference to our stay. Tom produced delicious meals for us. Inis was so informative on the vision and the conservation, Ryan was also great he took us out to shoot clays. Marie and Jean where great with lots of info on the area. We enjoyed the walks and all that went with them, it is stunning countryside. It was a magical few days with those near and dear to us. Thank you for all your help it was a pleasure dealing with you.

We had a wonderful stay at Alladale this past week. The facilities were great and the staff was perfect. Herve was a wonderful chef with a superb personality, thank you for recommending him! Thank you so much for the wonderful recommendation!
Mike Long and Molly Visosky, Virginia, USA
Alladale was absolutely amazing! We had the best time. Pieter was great and as well as Erica and her staff. Far exceeded our expectations which were already high.

October 2018
What a wonderful time we had. Somehow, as a group, we managed to catch salmon, shoot clays, have owls land on our heads, learn archery, hike mountains and gorges and NOT break anything at Ardtalla. Quite an achievement. The girls had terrific fun, Erica was very sweet to us and the household ran beautifully. Thank you, Margaret, for all your help and please pass our thanks on to George as well. Really a swell time. Looking forward to next year.
Susan Mikula
Once again had a terrific, action packed time at Ardtalla. Some of the second timers felt it was even better than last time, which is high bar indeed, and those that were with us for the first time all had a marvellous time.
Clive Eminson, Suffolk
We had a lovely stay at Arienskill and Eilidh (the manager) was lovely. The cottage and setting is certainly picture postcard and the location was ideal.
Helen Knight, Formby
A perfectly situated cottage in a breathtaking part of the world. Incredible views from every window and a loch with a little island a few feet from your doorstep - simply stunning!
Roz Bruneau, Belhaven, East Lothian
We had a wonderful holiday at Auchmull - to be honest we could not fault it, fantastic attention to detail all round.
Graham Paterson
We had a wonderful time at Bardmony this Christmas! Just a beautiful home and the family was fantastic. Many thanks for your help and happy new year.
Jessica Goldman, New York, America
We had a fantastic weekend. The house is amazing. Loads of room for 17 to be together as well as other rooms to escape to. We got on well with the aga considering none of us had used one & it was easy to cater for 17 all weekend. The cold pantry was a hit with everyone. Nigel was very helpful even down to giving us a cup of flour & telling us where to find charcoal for our Hawaiian bbq!! Only having to light the fires & not clean them out was great. Could have stayed another week! Barscobe will be on the top of the list for next year. Three 65ths to celebrate!! Thanks for all your help with booking.
Mrs Gina Chicken, Tarbert, Argyll
We had a fantastic stay at Barscobe House, Nigel and Vicky couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It was such a treat to have the fires set up every morning! The house provided us a comfortable, family friendly place to relax and enjoy each others company. My mum was really pleased with the house and we all loved the big comfy beds! A fantastic holiday.
Mrs Brownlee, Newcastle upon Tyne
Barscobe in Dumfries and Galloway (only Galloway I knew of before was 'George'!) is a gem of an estate that enjoys all the magical unspoilt delights of a remote Scottish holiday but amazingly only an hour from the border; Gretna Green and turn sharp left! The wonderfully spacious, yet cosy, warm and friendly house sits in the middle of 'the Highlands of the Lowlands'. Surrounded on all sides by beautiful and expansive views, providing for endless walks, plenty of fishing in freshwater lochs and ample space for the whole family to explore in safe and friendly surroundings. We all loved it and we will definitely be going back.
David Newall
Barscobe was a lovely family holiday with plenty of space both inside and out. The house oozes comfortable grandeur but offers the modern amenities. We loved exploring the extensive grounds which we all returned from refreshed and looking forward to a comfortable bath and glass of wine or two! You must partake in the invigorating river swimming – fantastic!
Emma Hallett
Our family holiday at Barscobe was fantastic - it’s the real deal. A hide-and-seek heaven for children with stunning walks amidst its rolling hills, dramatic waterfall and fishing on the loch – what more could we ask for? Log fires, snooker table and a fabulous old bar for a wee dram and a wayward game of darts. Perfect!
Miranda Nugent
We had such a fantastic time at Barscobe. We could not recommend it highly enough. The house is a perfect mix of formal and informal, roomy and cosy. A stunning location for a relaxing escape with plenty to keep the more energetic entertained!
Mrs N Dobson, Shropshire
The fishing and stalking were all good, certainly a highlight for me was my daughter catching her first salmon. Bighouse is really a unique place for a large gathering of families because, with the beach, it offers great appeal for both adults and children. Thank you for your part in setting up another very enjoyable week for us all.
Jeremy Gordon
The house is extremely comfortable and relaxing and provided us with the ideal venue for a family gathering for the weekend. The kitchen is perfectly stocked, we had books aplenty and a homely environment in which to spend quality time together-a rare and special thing in today’s busy world. Evelyn and Andy could not have been more helpful and it was great to learn a little more about the history of Binsness. The garden and grounds are beautiful and the early mornings spent in the shelter of the Findhorn Bay were truly stunning. A real hidden gem - we hope to return again at some point.
The Lawson Family, Scotland
A group of us (15 adults) stayed in Binsness for a week in April 2023 and loved every minute of our stay. Highlights include the walk round Findhorn Bay to see the seals on the amazing empty beach, the lovely sunny woods full of bird song, the views of Findhorn Bay (which can be seen from the windows in the west wing of the house), including lots of waders, especially when the tide was going out, the big lounge with loads of comfy armchairs, the dining room which Lindsay had set up to allow all 15 of us to eat together and the large en suite master bedroom on 1st floor, with its view across the lawn and garden to Findhorn bay. We were well looked after by both Lindsay and Andy. Magical week, that we will all remember fondly for years to come.
David Connolly, Edinburgh
What a delightful house. It was beautifully situated in gorgeous grounds. Lovely walks in the woods and I was thrilled to see red squirrels. The beach was lovely and clean and went on for miles. The house was well-equipped for 15 people, the kitchen had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels. Great that it had one massive living-room, and another tucked away, plenty of space to split out into groups or seek a quiet space.
Robin & Pauline Johnston
Our New Year team this year numbered 13, including a couple from Germany. We always rent a big house for New Year, but Binsness was unanimously voted the best we had been to. A spacious and very stylish house which easily accommodated us all in comfort, with memorable evenings round the dinner table and in front of the fire in the sitting room. The setting is magnificent, and we truly enjoyed having our own private forest and coastline to explore – quite a pleasure to look across at the hordes on the Findhorn side (although we did visit the excellent Crown & Anchor Inn..). Findhorn Bay is a birders paradise and instantly accessible from the house. Overall a great party and our German friends in particular (to whom we allocated the master suite) were blown away by it all – including the ceilidh outside the house on Hogmanay! I should particularly mention that Lindsay and Andy were very attentive and immediately on hand to address any issues.
David Hunter, Glasgow
I cannot thank you enough for your help and your patience regarding our Birkhill adventure. It was perfect. You could not have chosen a better estate for our group. Everyone at your firm gave us superb service and I know I had many detailed requests. It was a pleasure speaking and organizing the trip with you.
Caroline Pratte, Quebec, Canada
First of all I must ask you to pass on our thanks to the owners for letting us stay in the lodge and for Davy and Kirsty for looking after us. We had a fantastic time at the lodge. The lodge’s location was great and we had such good weather it was a truly amazing time. The lodge itself was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Just like home. I think Davy and Kirsty are doing an amazing job at the lodge and everything ran like clockwork and was well kept and looked after. Davy was very well informed and pointed us in the right direction in terms of the fishing and dog training areas. Everyone seems to have had a great week away and I managed to do 11 more munros which was good news. Only 28 to go! Thank you so much for your help as well. It is also much appreciated.
Mr D Jinks, Surrey
May 2016
We had a lovely week. Lodge was great and very well equipped. Everything worked and comfortable. Absolute highlight was Davy, Kirsty and Bobby who are a delight and looked after us beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make the week active and enjoyable. Please do pass this on to the owners because they have some special people there.
Mr R Wilson, Alnwick
“We had a fantastic management offsite at Blair. The house is elegant and avoids the tartan ‘oldy worldy’ pastiche of many large houses. It has several great indoor rooms ideal for breakout sessions and the grounds make for a brilliant workspace option when the weather is good (which it was when we were there). The staff were great and always very helpful. If you are looking for a venue which is private and sets the right expectations for your team, then Blair Castle is perfect.”
Corporate - 2023
“On behalf of all who attended The152nd Open Golf tournament we wanted to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for hosting us.
Our time at Blair Castle and the Scottish experience was truly memorable, complimented by some excellent golf. We greatly appreciate all the care and dedicated service that went into looking after us. As well as allowing us to share in your rich history and beautiful home. Exceptional hospitality. Many thanks.”
Corporate – The Open 2024
“Thank you and your incredible team for looking after us so well during our Retreat.
As always, you all go ago above and beyond to make it such a memorable experience for our guests who were completely in awe of the surroundings and service.
The building is of course utterly fantastic but without a shadow of a doubt, it is the team that make it so amazing. The service and the food, everything is just exceptional.
Really looking forward to working with you again soon.”
Corporate - 2024
“It is hard to describe the joy we experienced at the Blair Castle. Throughout three generations of our family and friends, all agreed that this was the best vacation ever. From the meticulous planning prior to the visit, through the attention to detail and the natural beauty of both the landscape and the magnificent castle, this was the perfect event... The grounds were majestic in natural beauty, the interior sumptuous, and the atmosphere relaxed and elegant. We particularly appreciated the attention to the needs of both the young children and the elderly. The staff were outstanding and will be a memory that we will carry with us our entire lives. No one will ever forget the falconry event, nor the James Bond event, nor the Highland games, nor the formal events, both classic and Scottish, nor the casino night, nor the Burns lecture and the personalized visit at the Museum. The ability to accommodate the golfers in their schedule with the many other events, and to adapt the schedule seamlessly to allow clay pigeon shooting and dancing lessons for grandchildren was reflective of the unique capacity of the staff to accommodate a multigenerational party. The setting was exquisite, the service magnificent, and experience unparalleled. I cannot imagine how it would be better.”
Family Gathering - USA
“My wife and I rented Blair Castle for a family gathering for 25, including children, teens and adults. We loved it!
Building - beautiful bedrooms in immaculate condition - bedding was superior and soaps etc were first class.
Grounds - lovely area for walking or other outdoor activities required. We had a very successful Highland Games which is great fun for everybody. The pool was very popular!
Food - what can one say except all of the meals were exceptional with great variety and superior food and preparation.
Staff - we were really impressed with the staff. Everyone was such a pleasure to work with and were so helpful to us both before and during the event.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Blair Estate and would not hesitate in going back nor recommending the facility for whatever reason to a Family, Corporate or Personal.
What can I say but thanks for everything and we hope our paths cross again in the future.”
Family Gathering – USA
“Thank you and the entire team at Blair Estate for an amazing weekend.
It was a great time to get together with the family and the events were really fun with everyone participating. To keep everyone from age 9 to 88 engaged was no mean feat!
The ceilidh was great fun, and everyone took really good care of us all weekend.”
Family Celebration - Scotland
Dear George It was another stupendously good trip organised by you. Thank you again so much. Taransay is breathtaking (though easier on the pins than the steep slopes of Gaick), the lodge and setting amazing. Steve was brilliant - competent and liked by all. Rupa v good. I can't give you credit for the non-stop sun though. Pouring down in London, by contrast! You have done brilliantly on three occasions now, precisely what I was after each time. Thanks. Best regards Rupert
Rupert E, London
As a family living in London we’ve been to many rental cottages over the years and this is by far the best. The location is amazing, the house was fully equipped and the owners were available immediately for help. We had the best family New year ever - the boat trip up Loch ness was a dream!

Great highland cottage by the Loch!
A really perfect place to stay! The house is very tastefully furnished. It offers every comfort, a very nice property and then also the possibility to explore the very beautiful Loch Knockie with the boat and canoe belonging to the house and to fish for trout with the fly. Simply beautiful, peaceful and wonderfully relaxing. The walk to Loch Ness, which as a cue to the good location, followed by a picnic lunch on the lake shore is relaxing. The contact with the hostess was of course very nice!

We spent a wonderful week in Brachkashie Cottage!
The house is appealing and stylishly furnished, the garden is very well maintained. Wonderful view of lake and mountains. The owners immediately helped with a question. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Brachkashie. The cottage and setting are absolutely stunning and the location towards the southern end of Loch Ness provides the perfect base to explore the Highlands. There was so much to do as a family, fantastic walks, fishing, boating and sightseeing. Thank you for a memorable stay, we hope and look forward to returning one day soon.

The cottage is perfectly cozy located right by a beautiful lake. Everything was better than expected. The interior design is flawless and the fire place made us feel cozy in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped. The landscape surrounding the cottage is breathtaking and canoeing on the lake is so peaceful. Catherine was always there for us if we had questions and very polite. We’d love to be back one day!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Brachkashie Cottage. It was like living in a House Beautiful magazine and I have returned home inspired to redecorate our own home much to my husband’s annoyance. He has returned home determined to take up rowing!
Liz & Family
This is a very comfortable, well equipped, stylish cottage in a secluded and peaceful location. The setting is glorious, the views spectacular and the cottage is always warm and snug thanks to a very efficient wood burner. A perfect place to enjoy a break in the highlands. On site boating and trout fishing are an added bonus.

To sit at breakfast and dinner overlooking a beautiful scenic loch on which we had paddled on was just amazing. Beautifully clean comfortable beds and attentive hosts. Great place to stay and good position to explore the area.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful home. The setting is perfect to rest and restore and also to explore the beautiful highlands of Scotland. The cottage provided everything we needed, to a very high standard. We enjoyed many walks and visited a few of the recommendations made to us. We cannot recommend New Brachkashie cottage highly enough ..and still miss that perfect view each morning…

We loved our week at New Brachkashie Cottage - what a beautiful and peaceful location. A great base for exploring the region - we did some hiking, cycling and kayaking. Paddling on Loch Knockie when it was calm and quiet was just perfect. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage for a great getaway.

We had a great time and the cottage is stunning! Everything fits so well, the house, the interior styling and the location. Coupled with the beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings it is as close to a bit of heaven on earth as you are likely to get.
James Henderson, Scottish Borders
Just to say thanks for a wonderful week at Brachkashie. We fell in love with the Loch and the quiet pace of Highland life. We spent a whole day on the Loch and had champagne and sausages by the water! We'll be back!
Mr Tim McDonnell, Hampshire
We had such a great time, walking, fishing, eating and drinking. What a beautiful cottage and so tastefully decorated, the location was perfect and we managed to snap some great photos whilst enjoying the outdoors on our first family holiday with our daughter. I'm sure it will not be the last holiday with Goldsmiths!
Mrs S Kitchen, Little Sutton
We are back home after a fabulous vacation! Brewlands was fantastic. We had absolutely perfect weather while we were there. The kids had a blast, skeet shooting, tennis, table tennis, hot tub, feeding baby pheasants, fishing, playing soccer. Simon was wonderful and very available when we needed him. Craig the games keeper was great with the kids too. A great time was had by all. Thank you again for all your help in making our family holiday so special and I won't hesitate to call on you again.
Hearn Family, Canada
Loved the house! We had a great time and it was the perfect venue. Tempted to go back with a group of friends! Thanks again for sourcing it!
Mrs Raffan, Edinburgh
Thank you again for your support and kind assistance through our booking process. It all went so beautifully. Simon was lovely, the charming house engulfed us in warm chintzy colours and classic furniture and probably the room we spent most time in together was the kitchen, cooking and planning the next day’s excursions. Scotland was a dream and the highlands took our breath away. We saw castles, villages, distilleries and even the Highland games in nearby Pitlochry.
Mrs Brinck-Johnsen Margel, Norway
Everything at Brewlands was simply perfect and our family enjoyed the week immensely. It was a vacation that we will talk about for years to come. Simon is the perfect caretaker and chef. Always agreeable, he cooked and served delicious food, he was totally professional and yet an extremely fun person to have at the house. He figured out our needs before we did and helped us at every turn. Thank you for guiding us to Brewlands.
Mrs Fraser, New York State, USA
Brewlands Estate was absolutely lovely! It is a very comfortable house and we enjoyed it tremendously. We found it very easy and welcoming for children, which is important for us. We were able to "contain" them (and all their games and toys) in the library/tv room and keep the lovely sitting room for the adults and our ongoing jigsaw puzzles. We enjoyed many lovely walks as well as fishing and skeet shooting. Simon was very helpful and delightful. Thank you for all your help and we look forward to another family visit in a year or two.
Mrs C Robertson, California
Many thanks to you and your colleagues for arranging Wester Brewlands weekend. It was fantastic. Janet was overawed by my talent at keeping things under wraps. It was only when we crossed over Blacklunans into the wilderness beyond that she was heard to utter "this doesn't have something to do with George Goldsmith, does it" Well, obviously your reputation precedes you! And the weather was fantastic. A perfect break during a stressful time. Thanks again. Scott
Scott Morris, Edinburgh
"Thank you for the beautiful setting for our wedding, we had a truly perfect day. We couldnt have asked for anything more - from the wonderful lakeside ceremony, to the fabulous hogroast and BBQ and the spectacular fairy tree! Simon and family - thank you for letting us share your beautiful home with all our guests. To the caterers, marquee guys and entertainments folks: you were magic! We have been so lucky to have had this wonderful weekend, we will remember it always. Kate & Mark

Hi Dorcas, Just returned home. It was wonderful. We had a great!!! time. The house was lovely and cosy, food was great, Angus' hospitality - wonderful. We loved every minute of it. We hope to have more fantastic holidays with your help. Sincerely Larissa

We again had a fantastic time in Glen Lyon. A group of mixed ages and mixed sporting ability, but a wonderful time had by one and all. With regards to the lodge, there is no question the improvements are for the better, while the old arrangements certainly had their own charm the updated bathrooms are of course an improvement. All the guests commented on how comfortable they were and how sympathetically everything had been done. Our cook who knows the lodge and he certainly approves of everything that has been done downstairs, both in terms of the kitchen and his accommodation. With regard to the sport, the day on the hill was particularly enjoyed by guns, beaters and dogs alike. While I know Hamish was a little disappointed by the bag, this was more a reflection of the calibre of a pretty inexperienced team of guns rather than a lack of grouse. We also had a wonderful day up at the brown trout loch with a number of the younger members of the party getting involved in the sport, although only one fish was actually landed before swimming seemed to dominate proceedings! We were rewarded with a c. 17.5 lbs salmon which surprised as much as it delighted. It was in fact especially notable as breaking the fisherman’s size record of 32 years which had been set with the first fish he ever caught! My thanks for your help in ensuring that everything went so well.

"I am not sure where to start to express my gratitude for your hospitality for Katie’s 21st weekend! We ALL had a wonderful time. The venue was perfect and all the elements I had requested came together beautifully. We all felt totally at ease in your house and what a beautiful house it is! That it exceeded our expectations was a bonus and you will never really know how much this meant to Katie. Thank you all from the very bottom of my heart!"

We have now landed back in Perth, Western Australia some 3 weeks ago & now have sorted most of the problems that being away for nearly 5 months involve & would like to thank you both so much for all your input in helping us choose Conaglen for one of the best weeks of our lives, & I mean all 14 of us. We were lucky with the weather in Conaglen which put the icing on the cake. The staff were excellent, being able to mix friendliness with professionalism. The food was exquisite & the menu brilliant. Ross & John also treated us to some good fishing & walks & we were all very sorry when the week ended.
Ross & Rosie Minchin, Perth, Western Australia
We all had a really enjoyable stay even though the weather was not very kind! Sandra and her indoor staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, the house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and also every day. Claire and Casper were both accomplished cooks and the meals were to die for. We had a well known "cordon bleu" cook in our party and even he with his high standards was very impressed with the quality of the cooking and the presentation of the food. The outside staff Ross, Ian and Martin were extremely helpful showing us the best walks and the best stretches of the river to fish. I believe the fishing is underrated in Conaglen's website as we caught 3 salmon and a large number of sea and brown trout and were all very satisfied with the availability of a range of fishing to suit everyone. We have these "old friends" reunions every three years and last one was held in Kenya and the time before a week in Ireland and I think we all have high expectations and standards, both of which were surpassed by our stay at Conaglen and we all agree that we will definitely be back in the near future. Thank you all, at George Goldsmith for making our stay such a memorable occasion.
Nigel Nesbitt
We had a great time. The staff in the house were extremely kind, and the cook is absolutely first rate.
Gordon Veneklasen
We are safely back from an excellent two weeks at Conaglen. They have found themselves a very efficient and competent housekeeper in Diana. She kept everything running very smoothly and was completely unflustered by the arrival of an unexpected guest. They also provided a very enthusiastic cook, Merrell, who was quite a last minute addition but cooked everything we wanted. The weather could have been kinder but the lack of sunshine just meant that we had to climb rather more mountains than we might have anticipated. Just as well, given the amount of food that you consume when you have a cook. Kind regards Anna
Anna Hocknell, East Saltoun, Scotland
We had the most wonderful break at Conichan: the landscape is glorious and the house was cosy and generously equipped. It was perfect. Not for a long while have been to somewhere so restful – four days there was like a week anywhere else. The house is beautifully and generously equipped and felt extremely homely. I would not hesitate to go back as soon as possible. Funnily enough, our three boys (16, 15 and 13) were also perfectly happy, whether walking, reading, playing football or dancing round the fire pit. A truly blissful few days – we were sad indeed to turn the car towards home and work / school… We have already recommended it to family and friends and we are also hoping to return.

We had such a fantastic family holiday at Conichan - it was everthing we wanted! Thanks for all of your help in organising it - it really was just brilliant! Everyone loved the property and felt really homely straight away! We all loved the area and will definately be returning!
Pip Taylor
Conichan was lovely and we all enjoyed our stay there. In fact we left heavy hearted! Its remoteness, warmth and comfortable accommodation was a treat - the hot water bottles and woolly bedsocks we filled our cars with were absolutely not required!! Many thanks for all your help Dorcas, we really did have a super time.
Amanda McLeod
We had a lovely stay at Conichan and were very happy with the house. It was very comfortable and was perfect for our family get together. We would certainly recommend it. The children particularly loved the outside fire. Many thanks for suggesting it to me and I will certainly be in touch once we have an opportunity for us all to get together again.
Barbara Sharman, East Lothian
I just wanted to write and say how fantastic Conichan was, the family had a wonderful time, and the house was so well equipped for all ages! The location is truly stunning, and it felt like we had found our own corner of Scotland for the week. Thank you for your help and quick responses. We were a little nervous having never used George Goldsmiths before, but we are absolutely delighted with everything ...we are already looking at Inverness for our next trip!

A fabulous week at Corrour for all the family with unforgettable food and hospitality from David and Lynne in glorious weather with obliging stags.
J Koerner, USA
We loved Cortes House, it was the perfect luxury getaway for our large group. Everyone was so impressed with the standard of cleanliness and decor in all the rooms. It was fantastic to have so much space inside and outside and all the facilities we could possibly need to keep us entertained. All the staff who helped us with the booking and house arrangements were really efficient, friendly and polite.
Catriona Matthews, Chepstow
Your recommendation of Craiganour was truly outstanding. Enhanced by a level of friendly service way and beyond expectations and great advice from Sonya. She is a remarkable person. The event went swimmingly culminating in a 5 course birthday dinner served by Sonya and Cameron and preceded by a piper organised by Sonya.
A memorable week for all.

Craiganour was fantastic. The staff, Eileen, Jim and Tom treated them all like royalty and were extremely obliging, knowledgeable and nothing was any trouble. They all had a wonderful time and the chef’s meals were fantastic. It will definitely be kept on the radar for future ventures etc. Thanks again for all your help Jenny and you too always forever cheery and a very knowledgeable star.
Robert Graham, Bridge of Allan
We had a magnificent stay at Craiganour! It was beyond what we expected. The staff was amazing and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for all of your help! It was a pleasure working with the George Goldsmith team.

We have been going to Craiganour for a sporting week for some eight years. It has a stunning position, unrivalled views and wonderful atmosphere. Keep it to yourself!
Andrew Hamilton, Hertfordshire, England
Thank you so much for such a wonderful place to have fun with all the family. Great views, walks, fishing, shooting, golf etc. The Borders has been a new experience and we all loved it! We hope you have many, many more happy years here. Thank you again.
The Russells, Belts & Richards, The Wirral
We had a fabulous stay, thank you ever so much. The castle was the perfect treat we were looking for that special birthday occasion. It had so many features that appealed to all three generations. My dad (who's 70th it was) loved the art gallery and all the documentation of the rebuild and the history. My nieces and nephews were so excited and thought it was their very own Hogwarts for a few days. We were bowled over by the sheer size of it. It had a perfect mix of feeling homely (with great amenities) but also feeling grand and something that little bit extra special. Etsuko was also really friendly and helpful in sharing their (and the castle's) journey. I would highly recommend Dairsie castle to anyone looking for a break from reality, with a touch of something a little bit different.
The Griffiths family, Tyne and Wear
We had a wonderful stay at Dairsie Castle. It was the first time we stayed in a castle and the kids absolutely loved it. We met the owner who was very friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience for our family. Thanks.

We had a wonderful week at Dairsie. It exceeded our expectations. Being so close to St Andrews was a real bonus and we enjoyed Cupar as well. The location couldn't have been better. Meeting the owner on our exit was a splendid finish. Thank you Rob
Robert Quinn, Kentfield, CA, USA
We had a wonderful time at Dairsie and enjoyed the opportunity to meet and visit with the owner on Friday. I’m sure we will be looking to rent the property again in the future (and perhaps some of the others you have listed). Many thanks for all your assistance.
Gordon Taylor
We LOVED Dalcross!! Thank you for making it possible! All rooms were beautiful and comfortable (common areas and bedrooms). The grounds were enjoyable to explore. The caterer suggested by you, Good Highland Food (Mike and Yvonne) provided excellent service above and beyond catering. All in all, we could not have been more pleased with our Scotland experience.
Cathy Coates, USA
September 2017
We all thoroughly enjoy staying at Dallas. One of my sons said 'it's just a home from home'. All our usual family/friends and any guests we bring who are new to the place also love it. You can tell what effort goes into keeping everything so lovely. We have stayed in all sorts of lodges over the years and I think Dallas comes out on top every time.
Anonymous
We so enjoyed ourselves. It was a lovely setting and one felt it was home. The children loved the playroom and the boat on the pond — not to mention the trampoline. Laurie, the chef, loved the kitchen and found it very easy to work in. It is a home and that made it so welcoming.
Mrs E Dean, Sussex
We have rented several properties over recent years but Dallas Lodge is head and shoulders above the others. Jean looked after us extremely well and made our stay very comfortable.
Mrs Lawrie, Edinburgh
What a wonderful house for our family in the most beautiful setting. Perfect for children -- and adults”. Candy and Peter Robertson. USA
Dallas Lodge, Scotland
We had a fabulous time and loved the property. The staff at Dallas Lodge were outstanding, and Kathy, our cook, was the best part of the vacation! Thanks so much for everything. Kim
Kim Bassey, Winnipeg, Canada
We had a great time at Dalness - what a stunning estate/part of the world. My middle son shot his first stag and it was a mighty animal, very exciting - on the fishing front we were less successful - Jim was great and very patient while helping us try to catch salmon on the river. The salmon rods that the estate provided were excellent. In summary we all had a fantastic holiday - lovely place, great crew of people looking after us, wonderful meals, and everything worked!
A Gray, London
What a magical stay! – perfect weather, stunning views, spectacular walks, fishing, clay-pigeon shooting and even swimming in the river!
George Thomas, London
"Dalvey was a stunning place, we were able to fill exclusively with our friends and families. I cannot recommend Dalvey enough; lovely people, beautiful house, stunning grounds and the freedom to plan your wedding how you always dreamt of it"
Owen & Alison
Dalvey House was a delight, we enjoyed our stay there very much. The property is very pretty and peaceful and the weather was perfect! One of the highlights was Chef Anthony (Tony). He was first class, amazing food, great personality and very professional. He prepared fresh delicious Michelin Star food. The Best! Thank you again for everything. It was a beautiful week for our whole family. Scotland is the most beautiful country. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Ginger Slater & family, Texas
We had a lovely time at Dell House. We appreciated all the work that has been carried out since we were last there and we were very lucky with the weather. It was perfect.
Sally Basing
We had a fabulous time at Dell house made extra special by the weather. The house suited us down to the ground lots of space and a real homely feel. The grounds were fantastic, I learnt to paddle a canoe on one of the lochs and at my age too, the dogs loved the walking and everyone we met was very friendly. It’s on the list for a return trip.

“The manner in which we were taken care of was simply brilliant. We couldn’t have been made more welcome by everyone on the estate and we all really enjoyed our stay.”
Campbell Family
"We had a great time at Drimnin, Louise and her team looked after us fantastically."
Forrester Family
We had a family gathering of 21 people and 4 generations, aged 2 to 79! The main house has been meticulously renovated and restored to it's former glory by the Lewises. To say that my family LOVED every minute of every day of the week we spent in and on the Estate is to understate our joy at being together in SUCH a magical place! Louise Lewis and her wonderful staff could not possibly have been more generous and accommodating. They went out of their way to to be both helpful when needed and yet allowing us privacy for our family games, singing, and fun. The meals were served buffet, we ate in the beautifully appointed dining room, had cocktails, afternoon tea, and after-dinner coffee in the equally beautiful drawing room overlooking the Sound of Mull. The impossibly romantic sunsets were a nightly adventure. The main bedrooms were princely, comfortable and very clean and beautifully appointed. All the bathrooms were spic and span clean, as well as being up-to-date and functioning perfectly. We explored the estate, engaged with a local artist, came to know the estate manager, some local musicians. Side trips to The Isle of Mull, exploring Tobermorey and other areas, were highlights. Long walks about the estate, archery, shooting, croquet, touring the distillery, visiting the "lost villages" and the restored Chapel, one intrepid member of the family even swam in the Sound, doing jigsaw puzzles, card games, learning to play Snooker, dancing in the main hall and playing "Murder" in the evenings were all ways in which we were able to amuse ourselves and each other during our magical week at Drimnin House. I/We simply cannot recommend a stay here strongly enough!
Helen R. Cook, New York City, USA
“Loved the house, decoration, so cosy and homely, food lovely. Louise was lovely and helpful. Relaxing and peaceful. Absolutely stunning location and loved the nature, the boat trip and the ecology and photography guided walks”
Joanne Martin
“Enjoyed our time here, we think it’s great and enjoyed the estate especially the cycling, Doirlinn and the information from Louise. Hospitality and helpfulness wonderful and very kindly too."

Carn Burton (Location Manager) and family, Penzance
We had some marvellous days on Skye, in particular, with the walkers among us able to enjoy some stunning views from the Cuillins. We also had some leisurely lunches / suppers in Plockton, which never fails to entrance. The house was everything we hoped for and most of our party agreed that this was one of the very best we had ever had the fortune to find in over 20 years of hiring large houses around the Highlands. Certainly the views are unbeatable! Please thank the owner and housekeeper for making us feel so much at home. Many thanks for your help in facilitating such a really enjoyable week.
Mr J Huxtable, Brentwood
We had a fantastic time, house could not have been better. Would recommend the house to anyone and would also return in a heart beat. Thanks again Best wishes
Mr G. Wilson, North Berwick
We had a spectacular time of which most noticeable was the Wedding and our time at Duirinish. I have to tell you that had we known how special Duirinish Lodge was, we definitely would have spent more time there. We were both very taken by this beautiful area, and you should expect to hear from us for a follow up trip...hopefully soon. Thanks again for everything and to all the staff that were so helpful during our stay.
David and Donna Donan, Palm City, Florida, USA
We all had such a great long weekend at eagles crag. We couldn't recommend the place and the rangers enough! We went clay pigeon shooting and fly fishing too. Such a stunning place, even better in real life than in the photos!
Miss C Markie, Glasgow
We had a wonderful time and the weather was unusually good. Edinchip was perfect for the size of our party and very comfortable.
Mr Brunsmann, Aberdeen
Edinchip has an air of grandeur surrounding it, however, it still maintains a homely charm from the well maintained and impressive interior. The setting, views and ease of access to good walks makes Edinchip, for me, a perfect retreat and a place I didn’t want to leave.
Maurits Moretto, Italy
We stayed at Edinchip for a week over New Year. The house is spectacular, and when we arrived there had been a dusting of snow – the perfect winter wonderland. We so enjoyed a number of long walks on the estate, with exquisite scenery and Mhor 84 – a pub we frequented many times over – close by. Edinchip is beautifully maintained and the house has this fantastic vibe of generosity and love which it is difficult to put into words. It was so warm, with three big fireplaces, a huge stash of firewood, an excellent central heating system and the AGA. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I’ve seen, with all the mod cons ones heart desires. Alex, the estate manager, was really helpful and welcoming and no effort was spared to ensure our comfort. Many in our party felt that this was one of the best new year celebrations ever, certainly one for the books. I would not hesitate in recommending Edinchip as the perfect destination for a week of stress-free bliss in the perfect setting.
Dr Harriet Jackson, South Africa
We had a grand week at Eilean Darach. Brian and Carol were exceptional and we had a gem of a cook. Kind Regards Michael.
Mr M. Coombes, Kent, England
I had a brilliant week at Eilean Darach.
Robin Brims Esq, Newcastle Upon Tyne
We adored Eilean Shona. It is a truly magical and remote place, we really felt like we were on adventure going there. It all harked back to my husbands childhood, playing on boats and crabbing. We went prepared for every eventuality and had a great time. Kate and Paul looked after us really well and were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I am sure we would love to go again.
Mrs McIntyre, Ayrshire
We all had the most wonderful time on Eilean Shona - thank you. We didn't want to leave. Kate and Paul are extraordinary and, in particular, went out of their way to make things easier/more comfortable for me. So, thank you, thank you - for letting me know about the house via your brochure (please keep me on your mailing list), and for organising everything for us. With thanks again, Mrs J. Hill
Mrs J Hill
It was a very special long weekend and the perfect setting. The weather was unbelievable and the views are breathtaking. The staff there are very easy to get on with and the food was great.
Johnny Walker, London
We had a wonderful week on Eilean Shona, thank you. The house was lovely - huge, warm, very comfortable, masses of bathrooms and hot water, a fire laid for us every day. It was great to stay in a house which had books, CDs, wellies, waterproofs, games, boats, kayaks, life-jackets, fishing lines - a hugely generous quantity of equipment left for our use which made it feel like a home rather than a holiday rental. We didn't need to bring nearly as much stuff as we did bring. We swam off the pier every morning, kayaked to both beaches, picnicked, wrote limericks, barbecued, explored the islands, walked to the top, over the hill and nearly all the way round. We feel utterly rejuvenated!
The Rea Family
We've loved our time at Erchless Castle! What a special place and Alison and Greg are lovely and wonderful at all they do - very positive contributors to the overall experience. Alison cooked several meals for us and it was so nice to just relax, enjoy the food and only have a little clean-up to do afterwards. The "kids" (they're all getting too old to be called that) are laughing and talking in the hot tub as I write this. They've had such fun and most importantly created some wonderful memories.
Dowdall family, USA
June 2016
Erchless Castle was wonderful and the surrounding area beautiful, we felt like aristocracy whilst there and would recommend it to all our friends. Thank you so much for all your help and assistance. We will certainly contact you again for future Scottish holidays.
Mr N Seraphin, Dorset
We had a great time at the Castle, the whole family had plenty of room to spread out and we wanted for nothing, everyone was very reluctant to leave. Lisa was very kind and welcoming and while on hand if we needed her, was not at all intrusive.
Mrs Pearson, Lincoln
We had a wonderful time at Erchless and would highly recommend to other guests. The castle is charming and comfortable. Lisa is of a personable nature and although we didn’t require her I felt that she was always on hand to assist if required. George the ghillie is such a lovely man and nothing was too much trouble for him, he tried his very best to find us some fish and deer! Never the less with only one catch we still had a splendid time!
Mr & Mrs C Amos, Staffordshire
Overall we all had a thoroughly good time and we all agreed that we would definitely come back again for a repeat holiday! Thanks for all your help with arrangements - the 40th birthday week really couldn't have gone any better!
Jo McKay, Buckinghamshire
Our stay at Erchless was wonderful and far exceeded our expectations in every way. Helen could not have been more accommodating. This is a very special place and we are so happy to have been able to experience it. The descriptions do not do it justice. Many thanks. Mary
Mary Prudence, Oak Park, USA
The house is enchanting and we didn't want to leave, me least of all. The house is situated in the most stunning setting, it's extremely comfortable, it's a genuine home from home and we thoroughly unwound and had the loveliest time together. It's a place you could stay happily without venturing out, it's that lovely!
Mr N Vincent, London
We had a fabulous week at Fasnacloich, the house was lovely, one of the nicest we have stayed in, and all our party enjoyed their week. Irene the housekeeper was a great help, it was so nice to return each day to a tidy house! We would definitely consider staying again, and if not there we will use George Goldsmith for future Summer breaks....we have already recommended you to many of our friends.
Mr & Mrs N Bush, Lincolnshire
We had a lovely time at Fasnacloich - not only was it a wonderful house and surrounds but we had great weather too. Sorry to have to leave... Hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards Caroline
Mrs C. Campbell, Edinburgh, Scotland
Thankyou, Fasnacloich was fabulous. The house, situation and the people made our holiday memorable. Would love to return. One day if the house is available. Thanks Jenny.
Mrs Jennifer Barr, Gers, France
We had an excellent time at Fasnacloich, it is a beautiful and very comfortable home and we were very well looked after by the housekeeper Mrs Livingstone. All our guests were entranced by the setting, with very peaceful and everchanging views of the Loch and hills. The chef, Jeremy, was tremendous, very good food produced quickly and nothing too much trouble. I therefore had a very relaxing time! We do not know our plans for next year, but if we were to go back to Scotland would contact you. Many Thanks. Lady Chadwyck-Healey
Lady Chadwyck-Healey, Hertfordshire
Just returned after a great few days at Fasnacloich drenched in sunshine. You can't beat the West Coast with weather like that. House was fabulous, great setting, grounds and decor/facilities made for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Chirstine was superb - great wholesome food. She was great with the kids too. Thanks again for organising at short notice. My American contingent said it just blew them away. Kind regards. Peter.
Peter Lillington, Edinburgh, Scotland
The week was truly special and to be fair exceeded our expectations. Blair Athol is nothing short of spectacular and has opened the eyes of many of us from 'South of the Border' into what Scotland really has to offer. Your input has been greatly appreciated and made the whole experience memorable from start to finish. We will certainly be back for more.
Mr Hacket, Birmingham
What a surprise after the long drive, further and further from civilisation. Stunning surroundings, with deer on the hill, beautiful stream, long walks. Good rooms and beds and downstairs nice living and dining room and basic kitchen with all the necessary things, two dish washers and three fridges. Good lawn for croquet, the game we always play large gin-tonics. A real outdoor shooting lodge. Great.

Dear Margaret, This is just to thank you for all your help in renting Forter Castle for Kathleen and Gordon's wedding. We had a wonderful time. Just being there was a unique experience. We loved it. We were very grateful for your advice and help along the way. With Kind Regards Helen Standen
Mrs H Standen, Edinburgh, Scotland
We had a very enjoyable stay at Fyrish. It is a very attractive house, comfortable and well-equipped, and had everything we needed. My wife thought it was the best house we have stayed in over the years. The lay-out works well. It is also well positioned for those arriving part of the way through the week. They could fly or get the train to Inverness and it was easy to pick them up without a major expedition from the back of beyond.
Anonymous
I'm very glad to inform you that we had a fantastic week at Fyrish House and thoroughly enjoyed the whole set-up. The fishing was very enjoyable and is clearly well-managed and organised by Roger Dowsett and the ghillie Peter. Fyrish House suited us perfectly and was a very comfortable way to spend the week, especially given the flexibility with rooms etc. We had someone come up to cook for us and she thought the house catered to her needs very well too. All in all, a great week and we will strongly consider re-booking for next year once (if permitted) once we get ourselves organised in the New Year. Many thanks to the GG team for ensuring the process has run so smoothly.
Mr T Maber, London
Just back now to Somerset and wanted to say how much we, the Jarvis family, enjoyed the very lovely Gamefield. It is the most comfortable and beautiful home and garden in that spectacular bit of Perthshire, a wonderful week in all respects and thanks to a most friendly and helpful Tracey and to the owner, William. We would all love to come again and will write a glowing report in the visitors' book next time which sadly, this time, we forgot to do. Thanks also to everyone at George Goldsmith!
Jarvis Family, Somerset, United Kingdom
We had an amazing holiday, the cottage and estate were lovely!!!!!!!!! We did not want to come home – at the moment I have two depressed cocker spaniels, they loved the estate and we walked the paws off them both! There was not one aspect of the holiday we could fault – Lavinia and Hugh were both very welcoming and totally dedicated to looking after the Estate – great to see! Once again many thanks for helping us have an outstanding holiday!
Anna Allington, Oxfordshire
We found Geordies Cottage to have a relaxed feel to it and immediately felt at home. We appreciated the gorgeous views from every window and enjoyed how the sunlight played on the hills during the day. It is tastefully decorated and well appointed (plenty of towels, warm comforters, etc.) Every detail is taken into consideration and it shows throughout the cottage. We would definitely recommend this cottage to our friends and would come back year after year.

July 2016
We had a marvellous time (at Glaschoille) as usual and Joanne made everything very cosy for us. Altogether a fabulous place and we would like to come again at the same time next year.
Suzanne Birkett
Glasnock is a wonderful and special place; one that we'd hope to return to one day. It is definitely a place to go to get away from a busy life. In my opinion, ideal for a family. The house is clearly new, which is nice, and the owner clearly wants to ensure that her guests are comfortable - which we were. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. One night we had langoustines which we got in Lochcarron at the butchers - they were fresh and delicious. We can only dream/hope to go back one day.
Mr D Keith, Milan, Italy
The stay at Glasnock was just superb! Lovely house, lovely location and it had everything that we needed. Rebecca has done a great job and Sharon the house keeper was very helpful too. Thanks for all your help.
Mr G Timmermans, Woodborough, Nottingham
Thank you so much for arranging Maree and my birthday visit to Glenapp Castle. Our stay was magical with everything being perfect. The actual day of my birthday we arranged falconry which was amazing. We learnt so much about the beautiful birds from Rebecca who was both passionate and knowledgeable. The staff went out of their way that evening and our joint birthday dinner perfect and memorable.

I wanted to write to you and let you know that we greatly enjoyed our stay last week at Glenfernate. The lodge has a wonderful homely and welcoming feel (quite unlike many lodges I have stayed in!) and was extremely well equipped and comfortable. Even the weather cooperated for some competitive tennis and croquet. Margaret was absolutely wonderful and could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Likewise we had her daughter Jackie to cook for the week and the supplies of excellent food were endless. Davie did a great job on the hill as did another Davie on Thursday who I gather came over from Glenshee. Finally I would like also to say how professional and helpful George Goldsmith and his team in Edinburgh have been. They could not have been easier or more pleasant to deal with.
Mr R Baxter, Clathy, Perthshire
We had a great time, and loved staying at Glenfernate. It is in a lovely part of the highlands and everyday we did something different. They kids loved everything from croquet to stalking and fishing, to swimming in the river. Margaret and Jacqui looked after us very well, and David was a superb stalker, and was great at looking after the kids.
Greg Clinton, Singapore
The week was great as always. I stalked on Fealar and one day on Glenfernate with "little" Davey who was great. Mark Wood at Fealar was also brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him (and the ponies, one of which - Angus - head butted the Ghillie into the stream!). Margaret at Glenfernate was her usual fun self as was her daughter, Jackie, who cooked for us and her daughter, Alison. Though I would give Margaret more praise for the fact that she does everything she can to make the stay comfortable and warm as possible. It's rather like staying with family (but nicer!). Likewise Jackie - just great cooking and great to be with. But what was really good was wifi which meant we could work far more easily and that led to a lot less stress and more relaxation. We'll definitely be back if allowed!
Mark Darley
We had another brilliant week at Glenfernate. Margaret the housekeeper and Jackie the cook (Margaret's daughter) were both jolly and efficient throughout the week and made our stay a pleasure. Gordon (head stalker) and his team were first class again. I need to talk to you about our plans for a week next year.
John Spratt, Banbury, Oxfordshire
We had a great time at Glenmuick and it was lovely to return after a couple of years away. We would very much like to book the same week in 2013. All was fine and i cannot say enough good things about Fern...she is a superstar! She gets on with the job in hand and always has a smile. Cook, Suzie Mackenzie-Smith and her helper Elizabeth were brilliant as well. Thanks also to Ab and his team, they produced two excellent walked up grouse days and my house guests and family were pretty accurate with the stags and roe deer. Nothing but praise for the team!
Mr McMullen, Bishop's Stortford
This was our fourth year at Glen Muick with our family and the experience is still one of the best holidays that the children enjoy. Our grandchildren of whom there are eleven vary in age from three to sixteen and they all enjoy different parts of the holiday. I have been in touch with George concerning next year and if the dates can be made to fit then we shall visit again. As always the premises and the staff are excellent.
Richard Tapp, Kent
Dear George, I wanted to let you know how much we ADORED the House of Glenmuick. We had the most memorable week and birthday celebrations, and yes indeed, the balmy weather helped make everything that much more special. You were spot on, the house is a very unique place, and we felt totally at home there. Thank you also for everything you did to oil the wheels: the fishing, stalking and shooting were the icing on our cake, and very much appreciated! The chef you organised, namely Pip, is a GEM of the first order! We - as well as our guests - thought he was fantastic. Meanwhile, all the very best, and thank you once again. Kate. I can't add much more to what Kate has said other than saying it was all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We had such a fantastic time and are already thinking hard for an excuse to go back soon! Thank you so much once again. Best wishes Tim p.s. Pip certainly was a star. He really did make the stay thoroughly memorable
Tim and Kate Slesinger - Conde Nast, London
Myself and my colleagues enjoyed our stay at Glenmuick and have all returned safely from Scotland, one of the most beautiful countries I've visited so far. The House of Glenmuick is a fairytale building, which gave us such pleasant stay we've never experienced before together. The team were friendly, professional and experienced (Lynn, Pip, James). Thank you for your support and assistance during planning this trip.

' It was a joy staying in the House of Glennie last week - a glorious place, lovely surroundings and a beautiful stretch of river....The peace and quiet, with no responsibilities, was a longed for treat. The little touches were so appreciated : fresh flowers around the house and in the bedrooms; the freshly laid fires and ready wood for us each evening, so welcome after long days either on the river or anyway in the fresh air. Thank you so much for letting us share your beautiful home for a week, with your lovely pictures, interesting books and family photographs. A memorable week indeed. '
Prue Keigwin, North Yorkshire
Our week at Glennie was just as we were hoping – a true 'home from home' that is cosy, comfortable and relaxing, yet able to sleep a large number of people. The convenience of a fine stretch of salmon fishing running through the garden is hard to beat and the myriad of local castles, beaches, hills, towns and distilleries offer plenty of distractions.
Will Duff Gordon
It was all excellent. Ros was brilliant, the castle was ideal, the rooms were nice and the beds comfy. The chef was exceptionally good, and I am very particular about my food. Even the weather was great on Sat and Sun. On Friday we couldn’t fish which was a shame but so be it. The mini highland games were great fun. I have already recommended it to a few people. Thank you for organizing and your recommendation was spot on!
Tom Lindsay, London
Our team was blown away by the service at the castle, thank you for being a blessing to everyone. They loved speaking with Angus and mentioned how exceptional Magna was. Please pass along our sincere gratitude to the entire team at Gordon Castle.

We have just had the most wonderful few days here looked after superbly by your team. Nothing was too much trouble and all the food was positively mouth watering. Lots to do including some great fishing. Thank you and we shall return.
The Rowland Party, London, Zurich and New York
We really don't know where to start with the compliments. We'll try the hotel itself. What a wonderful building and how true it appears to have remained to it's heritage. Welcoming, comfortable, interesting, characterful and special. Please don't ever fall into the trap of making it into some sort of contemporary boutique luxury "same as every other" hotel offering. The hotel provided the perfect canvas for the masterpiece of hospitality and customer service that the management and staff created and delivered.
Mr R McGregor, Hertfordshire
My guests and I enjoyed our stay tremendously, and I can't tell you how many favourable comments I heard on my choice of venue. I can't think of a better place to have celebrated my birthday and I am very grateful to you and the others at Greywalls for making it such a special occasion. It's difficult to know where to begin in saying what makes Greywalls so special. The house and the setting are obviously spectacular, but I think what sets it apart from other establishments is that it doesn't seem like a hotel, more like a country house with a superb staff. It would be invidious to single out individual members of staff for comment, as they were all excellent, but I felt I must make particular mention of Chef and his brigade. We enjoyed a series of fine meals culminating on Saturday evening in one of the most memorable meals I have had. The menu was beautifully constructed and brilliantly executed, at least that was the general opinion among us. I hope I will have the opportunity of visiting Greywalls on many occasions in the future and I think my guests have similar hopes. Thank you again.
Norman Bachop
We had a great week at Gualin Estate. Wonderful staff. Stunning scenery. Even got some water and got some fish. The loch is quite magical. Definitely would like to repeat the experience. The most excellent Marlene helped us out too. Perfect. Thanks!
John R Andrews, Caithness, Scotland
We all had a wonderful time. The lodge is in a great location with lots of accommodation, we particularly enjoyed the large wood paneled drawing room with a roaring log fire. I very much hope to return for a week next summer.
Mark Boucher, London
We all had a fantastic time, thank you. It is a lovely house and a magnificent estate with very hospitable owners and staff.
Chris Tiso, Edinburgh
We all had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed our stay on the Dougarie Estate. I will write to thank Mr Gibbs for ensuring we had a good time. Thank-you for all your help.
Gerald Lawson-Tancred
We had a great week, really good fun and the house is beautiful and well decorated/equipped etc. Also, the arrangements for the sea boat with 'Kipper' the boatman was excellent! We went out three times and ate about four delicious lobsters, as well as numerous mackerel. Thanks for all your help
Jack Pitman, London
We are back home after a fabulous vacation! Yvonne was a wonderful hostess, Turin was breath-taking and we spent our last night at a private dinner and ghost tour at Glamis, very special. Thank you again for all your help in making our family holiday so special and I won't hesitate to call on you again.
The Hearn Family, Canada
I just wanted to extend my thanks in all your help in making the weekend event a successful one. The feedback I have received from the guys has been immense and the thanks really should go to you. My part in organising this was made so much easier with all your help and advice. Turin was very much a winner and one where I am sure we will be revisiting in the future. Thanks again and I look forward to having the opportunity to working with you again.
YPO Group, Edinburgh
We are back safely from our fishing trip at Inshewan. We enjoyed the week and we caught 6 fish and lost seven - the Beats were very attractive and well maintained and we were particularly impressed by the Hut and facilities. Having a proper toilet and little kitchen with running water was a great bonus particularly as we had a non-fisher in our party! Colin Gibbs the owner was most helpful. Kind regards.
Colin and Rosemarie Bray, Pewsham, Wiltshire
Everyone enjoyed their stay at Inverbroom Lodge thank you. Speaking personally, I thought the place was perfect for us, in every way. In particular the large lounge, kitchen, and en-suite bathrooms, which included a 6ft bath, with power shower. The instant hot water was highly impressive! (can you tell I used to be a plumber?) Regards, Jim.
James Byrom, Lancashire
We have just returned from a fabulous week at Inverbroom, the house, location, weather, scenery etc etc were stunning.
Mr N. Hardman, Lancashire, England
This is probably our favourite George G property so far – in a nutshell, we loved it. Even on the mistier days (and we were VERY lucky with the weather on the whole, so 8 Munros bagged), I could have just sat and looked at the view for hours. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and so well equipped. We would certainly like to return in the future so hope you keep it in your portfolio.
Jayne White, Glasgow
Just a quick line to say that we had a fantastic week. The accommodation was perfect, whilst the estate was beautiful with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The estate team did everything they could to make it a memorable week. All the children loved the place - as did the adults! Thank you for all your help.
The Gray Family, London
The facilities throughout the house were excellent and the location superb.

We all had a lovely time at Kindrochet Lodge despite the weather! The house is lovely with beautiful surroundings. We loved the log fires and the huge dining room table big enough to accomodate us all. We did a couple of walks and went to the House of Bruar. The children also enjoyed the snooker room.
Mike & Gill Anderson, Farnimgham, Kent
We had a very enjoyable weekend and were delighted with the property. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was especially well equipped. We were very lucky weatherwise and had a couple of good walks. All in all, a great success!
Jacqueline Scott, Edinburgh
We had an fantastic holiday up at Kingie. The lodge was 5 star and extremely comfortable and very luxurious. A great base. Please pass on our thanks to the owner and a big thank you to Rena and John who couldn’t have been more helpful. John was fantastic in taking us down the loch and picking us up again.
Mr D Jinks, Dormansland, Surrey
I just wanted to thank you for organising a perfect week up in Scotland for me. Kingie was ideal. The stalker was great and the lodge very comfortable. Chris was an excellent cook and very helpful generally in knowing where to procure the little things that we'd left behind. Thank you too for the contact for the 4 x 4. It worked out very well. I had a great experience with your agency and would be happy to recommend you to others. I will by using your agency again myself. All the best. Majid Jafar.
Majid Jafar, London
We had a great visit to Kinlochmoidart - I’m pretty certain everybody had a wonderful time and a good break from their normal existence! The house was more wonderful than I had remembered, the weather was excellent and we walked, kayaked, canoed and biked around. Making it annual would be great in many ways. There has been talk of repeating it before my 60th, but let’s see! And I would like to repeat again my sincere thanks for your kind support to us.

Thank you for telling us about the Colt House, we did so enjoy Kinlochmoidart and its surroundings. Nino was very helpful and at her recommendation, we bought and cooked some lovely live prawns which were delicious and particularly enjoyed by the 3 year old! We also enjoyed products from the smoke house at Glenuigg and the pub there! Not all the time was spent eating! The men travelled on the Jacobite train, we visited Rum from Mallaig, visited the lighthouse and distillery at Ardnamurchan when not walking and generally enjoying the surroundings. The house was beautifully warm and we enjoyed the log burner.

We had an amazing time at Kinlochmoidart at New Year! A great house in a great location with friendly owners - thanks for all the recommendations and help.
Sean, London, United Kingdom
We had a very relaxing break with great weather! The cottage (The Coach House) was all we expected and more, full of character and well equipped. The location was excellent for us and we managed to explore the surrounding area well. Nino Stewart was welcoming and helpful and we would have no hesitation in staying at Kinlochmoidart again, indeed we probably will if only to see more of the main house! We learnt a little of it's history and the recent restoration is clearly of extremely high quality and served to protect a stunning building for generations to come. Waking up on the first morning to see a young stag just outside the window was an unexpected bonus! Best wishes
Mr B. Bennison, Brampton, Cumbria
Thank you for this. We had a stunning week at Kinlochmoidart. The weather was fine, which makes all the difference and was all the more surprising given that the rest of the country was underwater. The Turret was perfect for our needs and Mrs Stewart was very welcoming. All in all, we couldn’t have had a better week and many thanks for your help in arranging it.
Stephen Keys, Hassocks, West Sussex
I want to thank you very much for your professionalism and hard work at helping with my arrangements for Kinlochmoidart House. You were great at providing timely information and help for all my questions and requirements. Kinlochmoidart House was perfect in every way for entertaining my friends and celebrating my birthday. Nino Stewart was there to greet Ryan, Sophia, and I when we arrived, and I talked with her at the end just before we departed. She was very helpful and everything was ready for us when we arrived. We did a number of fun activities – hiked a 6-mile loop trip to Tioram Castle, visited Ardnamurchan peninsula, took the “Jacobite” Steam Train to Mallaig, hiked to the top of Ben Nevis on Wednesday, 20 June, and toured the island of Mull. The most brilliant idea was your suggestion to have a chef cook for us throughout the week. Thank you for the advice, as it increased our enjoyment of the house and convenience for dining. I have only the highest praise for Laurie Mill and his culinary talents during the week. Again, Dorcas, my holiday would not have been nearly as well organized or enjoyable without all your efforts – thank you very much!! I have only the highest recommendation for you, your organization, and Laurie Mill.
Professor Peter Haug, Washington, United States
We had a fantastic time. We had been slightly concerned that it would not be so good second time around but it was even better. We plan to return as much as possible over the years. It is remote but beautiful and so relaxing. The great thing about it is that the rooms are beautifully turned out but you don’t feel you are treading on eggshells. I am telling my friends they should book it. A secondary issue but important none the less was the bed-sheets. Nino told me she bought them from the White Company so we have bought the same for home.
Mike Smith, London
Thank you so much for suggesting Kinlochmoidart for 2012. We all had the most fantastic holiday, the property is amazing, full of interesting things & the accommodation is excellent, it was great to start to explore another area of Scotland & can see there's much more to discover so everyone is keen to return. Mrs Stewart made our stay so easy, was very helpful if we needed anything & just left us to get on with our trip, perfect!
Bernadette McCauley, London
We had a super time, the house is ideal for entertaining 21 thirsty and hungry people. The flexibility of Leaper was very helpful also. The house has a super feel to it and the evenings were extra special in the spacious dining room. I would recommend the sea kayaking which we booked through Rockhopper, based in Fortwilliam. A recommendation from Glenuig hotel. They can also provide this for more experienced kayakers. Stalking is also superb, with amazing views. Extra special to have nice, helpful stalkers who took their time and explained to the novices about the art of stalking. Thank you for making the booking so easy. It was a super couple of days.
Tarquin de Burgh
That's us returned yesterday from Kinlochmoidart House after my 60th birthday weekend. Can I say what a fantastic time we all had. Over 30 in the party, including my 2 grandchildren, and every single one of us had a ball. The house was superb, Nino is a very attentive hostess, but very unobtrusive and Jill ,the caterer that you recommended, was quite outstanding. She even suggested the dj for Saturday evening!! And to top it all one of my very good friends caught his first ever salmon. Thank you very much for helping make my birthday celebrations even more special.
Jim Bogan & family, Perthshire
We had a lovely stay at Kinlochmoidart. We had all sorts of weather, as usual, and thoroughly enjoyed rediscovering the area. Glenfield was very comfortable and the grounds of the house magnificent. The fishing was also enjoyable although we didn't catch anything.
Claire Cuttell
We had a terrific time (at Kinlochmoidart) and everyone wants to go back sometime. Big shame its all over now. Jill was brilliant. Peter
Peter Gow, USA
We did enjoy our stay at Leiper House very, very much. All of us have been quite pleased, I would even say smitten by the property and the grounds. Our landladies have been very helpful and there was simply nothing whatsoever we could criticize. Thank you very much for your help. I am looking forward to working with you again in the near future.
Philipp Schmoetten
We all enjoyed the house and the location. The house is spacious and full of character. The Stuarts are relaxed hosts and did not seem to mind the noise and disturbance generated by children, dogs and over-excited adults. A great holiday for our family and freinds, capped by great catering by Jill Gosney.
Rob Laughton
Our stay at Kinlochmoidart was very nice, it was just a shame we couldn't stay longer. The Coach House was very comfortable, even for the couple who slept in the upper beds who had to scale the ladder
Richard Henson
Dear Dorcas We had an excellent stay. Duncan and Ruth were both very kind and hospitable to us, and the house was just amazing. We all 23 agreed that none had stayed any where so grand before. The place was fantastic, and all for less than a budget hotel's nightly rate! Many thanks to all, Matt Whitney
Matt Whitney, York
I was not the organiser nor was I the last (or the first) to arrive but I think I’m safe in saying that everyone was very impressed with the accommodation that you provided; in so far as we needed it we were looked after by the people on the ground very well. We were incredibly fortunate with the weather, of course, and as you know the surroundings are magnificent; in other words we had the best possible time.
Henry Whitney, York
Kinlochmoidart Estate: It has been widely praised as the best party EVER anyone has been to. Nino was very welcoming. Robert and his group were perfect. All in all I couldnt be happier. Thank you, 51 is only a year away :) Duncan
Kinlochmoidart
My family and I had a superb time at the Kinlochmoidart Estate. This will be a Christmas we will never forget, from the stunning scenery of Mountains, Lochs, Rivers and endless countryside covered with a think blanket of powdery snow, to the majestical Kinlochmoidart House, this was a perfect way to spend our last Christmas together before we emigrate to Australia. We spent one of the coldest weeks in Scotland, where everything just stood completely still, while natures winter took hold and delivered a fantastic and picturesque backdrop. We would like to thank Mrs Nino Stewart, her husband Duncan, Ruth and Andrew for all their efforts to keep us happy during our stay, this was not an easy task as the winter tried it best to beat them. The grandchildren just loved the Christmas Tree for their presents to nestle under and also Rudolf turned up Christmas Eve to check out where Santa was suppose to drop off their presents....how perfect. Julie Sayer
Kinlochmoidart House
We had a fantastic time on the Kinlochmoidart Estate, it was everything that I wanted for such a milestone in life. I wanted to hit 40 with a bang and do something really different and this most certainly was. It was the perfect place and opportunity for friends and family to meet for the first time and get to know each other. My family all live in England and had never been to scotland, and what a place to go on your first visit. They all really enjoyed it. My Parents even came back to Edinburgh and stayed for an extra 3 days. They may even come back again!! Mrs Stewart and "staff" (sorry I don't remember names) were always helpful and really had no objections to anything we wanted to do, from having a Band in the house to play on the saturday night, to moving furniture around and rearranging the tables in the dinning room. Fetching more fire wood for the fires.... The weather was kind for this time of the year with some very good sunny warm days and the odd very very wet day. The Estate was made for lots of fun and enjoyment, this acompanined by good local food, drink and excellent company made the perfect celebration. If you ever need a reference for the estate please let me know. Kind regards Mark
Mr Duncan Bridgeman, Kent, England
We had a wonderful time, thank you. The Coach House, on the Kinlochmoidart Estate, is a lovely little cottage with all that you could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed the tiny bit of Scotland we saw and are eager to return!
Mrs R. von der Burg, London, England
Hi Dorcas, The weekend was incredible, thank you so much for helping me organise it. Kinlochmoidart House was amazing, it had everything we needed and despite the forecast for hail storms and heavy showers we had fabulous weather.. Hopefully we'll be able to go back sometime. Thanks again, Mitra
Ms M Abrahams, Edinburgh, Scotland
Thank you. We had an absolutely wonderful time and good weather at Kinlochmoidart. The house was magic and very well equipped. We had a big dinner and a ceilidh, both of which were enhanced by the surroundings.
Mrs L Meek, London, England
Hi Dorcas, Kinlochmoidart was really wonderful, extremely beautiful and with so many interesting artefacts. Mrs Stewart was very helpful, the food and overall service by Jill was exceptional, the coach driver was excellent (from GoClick travel that you recommended) and the whole weekend was fantastic. Thank you very much for all your help throughout the time and I would have no hesitation recommending you to anyone who is thinking of doing something like this. All the best, Ari
Dr A. Andricopoulos, London, England
Thank you, thank you! We all had the most wonderful time at Kinlochmoidart. The house was beautiful, homely and just perfect. The owner is a kind and wonderful lady and we're already thinking about our return visit. Many thanks & best wishes, Nicky.
Mrs N Acketts, Essex, England
We would just like to say that we enjoyed our stay at the Dairy Cottage and would certainly return to Kinlochmoidart and maybe try one of the other properties on the estate. Thanks again CarolAnn
Ms C Collins, Kirkcaldy, Scotland
The week was magical - in no small part due to the weather. It seemed like such an extravagance beforehand, but Kinlochmoidart was truly perfect. Everyone had heaps of space and kids could play noisily in a far corner away from my dad who needed lots of rest. We went to Tobermory (Balamory) on my niece's 6th birthday and generally had a ball. My thanks again for all the assistance in arranging a truly unforgettable holiday and family milestone. All the best. Stephen

I am happy to report that I enjoyed the greatest birthday of my adult life in June at Kinlochmoidart. I would like to thank everyone at George Goldsmith for help in sorting out the fine details - from Jill Gosney's cooking to Paddy and Libby Shaw's dance band, to the piper and Keith Eddie's light show. Kinlochmoidart has firmly cemented itself as my family&'s favourite place on earth (this was our third time staying there, and counting..) Sincerely, Duncan Robinson
Duncan Robinson, Florida, USA
Just to say thanks very much for your efforts in arranging the Kinlochmoidart booking for my birthday. It really is a wonderful estate and we were very fortunate to have blue sky as well. The food provided by your recommended local cook, Jill Gosney, was top rate. We had a ceilidh followed by more dancing and everyone had a great time. I think the Danish contingent particularly enjoyed the highland scenery, coming from such a flat country. I look forward to visiting the estate again in the near future.
Ross Gardiner, Copenhagen, Denmark
We had an absolutely superb time in Kinlochmoidart last weekend - it all went off without a hitch and we had good weather as well, just to round off the weekend, plus the house itself lived up to all expectations. Best regards.
Paul Barker, London
Thank you for your note. I can only report that we had a magnificent time, everyone loved the estate, it will be the most memorable week of our lives! I think one of the plus points about Kinlochmoidart, apart from the fabulous buildings and location, is the unprententious attitude of Nino Stewart, she basically lets one get on with it and does not interfere or have a long list of rules! It truly felt like our home. But she was there if we needed her. We would certainly go back there, and just hope the right occasion arises, so that we can. Very best Wishes
Christine Chatfield, Leamington Spa
Thank you for all your help for our 40th Birthday celebrations at Kinlochmoidart House. We had a magical time and look forward to many more holidays in Scotland through yourselves. You were fantastic in every respect for which I am very grateful. Warm regards.
Sherry Budenberg, Cambridge
We had a wonderful holiday at Kinlochmoidart and would all really love to go back again. It was the second time in the house for most of us. We would change nothing. We had a group of 26, ranging in age from a very fit 67 to just under one year and we all found it a very special holiday. We especially found the local people very friendly and helpful and ate some wonderful local beef, fish and venison. It was so lovely to have a big family get together in such a wonderful spacious house.
Mrs Jane Melloy, Cambridgeshire
Thank you for the follow-up and your assistance for our trip. Our entire party thoroughly enjoyed Kintradwell and Tressady estates. The shooting, conditions, and game keepers met our expectations. Both Jamie and Harold were knowledgeable, courteous and proficient in their tasks. We very much enjoyed shooting with both of them and their assistants. Our hunting in Scotland was a wonderful and memorable trip for our group. We also would like to personally thank you for your courtesy, professionalism and promptness during the process. You were a pleasure with which to work. Best of luck in the upcoming year. Kind regards.
Mr Scott Fugate, Tenessee, USA
We had the most wonderful week, from romantic dinners outside to full dinner parties as the party arrived, 21 in all, and there was plenty of room for all, and we particularly enjoyed the large stag room. The whole Knock team were excellent, Andrew, Renata, Cathy, Alex, David and Martin, looked after all our needs and more with a very good humoured approach, making us all very welcome, and they were a pleasure to be with. Louise and Roz, were really excellent, and we had a superb range of local fare menus, keeping us well looked after throughout, with great Breakfasts, Packed Lunches, Tea and Dinners. What more could anyone ask for. We had a local band for a Ceilidh on the Friday and along with the near perfect weather, allowed us to visit the local islands, sea fishing, see the wildlife and climb Ben More, as well as numerous other walks, tennis and cycling. An action packed week left us glowing. I’d love to go again, and some of our guests left with ideas of future bookings as birthdays near, so I’m sure they will be in touch. Many thanks for your help with all. Best wishes.

I wanted to communicate my own thanks to you, your team, and the team at Knock. You may have been aware that the holiday was a present for Dad in celebration of his 60th Birthday and I don’t think we could have asked for a more successful trip. Knock House is supremely comfortable and superbly set up for house parties. Kim and her team kept the place immaculate all week and Michelle Cowe was brilliant. She never once seemed stressed or flustered which is such a good quality in a cook and her food was delicious. We all enjoyed the sport and had some thoroughly good stalking. Donald and Andrew were not only good stalkers but excellent company too. Having spent most of my time on the hill I didn’t spend much with Roland or Nielsen but I know those who did thoroughly enjoyed themselves. My sister in particular had some excellent fishing with Roland. Please pass on my thanks to all the team. I know Dad is hoping to take a week at Knock next year and I hope that plan comes to fruition – I will be back there straight away if it does!
Nicholas Verney
Once again we had a fabulous stay. The house staff, particularly Kim, Glenys and Renata were delightful and we all much enjoyed the company and skills of Donald, Roland, Andrew, and Nielson outside. Our cook, Louise Palmer was the same as last year and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I have sampled many cooks fare over the years and she is streets ahead of everyone else.
Andrew & Lucinda Fleming
My family and friends had a wonderful time at Knock House in October. The owner really should be proud of the quality of the keepers, staff, he has at Knock House. Donald was extremely professional yet also approachable and friendly. He put us all, including our wives, at ease. We were all extremely impressed by Andrew's thoughtfulness and of course Donald's ready enthusiasm to go out of his way for us. Kim and her team were equally impressive. Thank you for arranging this for us: we are already looking forward to next year.
John Spratt, Oxfordshire
We have had a fantastic week at Knock House. Both the house and the staff exceeded our expectations not to mention Mull itself. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week. I was particularly impressed by the way the ghillies, led by Donald, ensured that there was something for everybody and most of us achieved a first sporting experience at some point in the week; this was no mean feat considering the variety of ages and personalities within the group! We have some wonderful memories of a very special week. Many thanks for your help with the booking and for the introduction to Pip who produced the most amazing meals and didn't complain at our occassional last minute time delays. We are seriously considering booking for next year. With kind regards. Jan Sibthorpe
Jan Sibthorpe, London
Lairg was wonderful. Angie and the staff were so lovely and helpful. We could not have asked for more. We all agreed that the lodge is one of the best we have ever stayed. Very comfortable. Alick the ghillie was equally lovely and helpful!
Mrs L Ridley, Lincolnshire
We have had a magnificent week on Lary-such a beautiful setting and a wonderful house. The weather has been great and 8 Munros have been climbed so the walkers are happy. Those of us less energetic have been well entertained with walks in the valley, various gardens admired as well as some beautiful art works viewed. Thank you so much-we will never forget our week here and hope to return to tackle some Corbetts. Best wishes Isabel
Mrs Isabel Watson, Hexham, Northumberland, United Kingdom
Dear George I wish to thank you for our holiday at Morsgail as it has been a great success. I think you did a great job at advising this estate for our party. Meterologic conditions were not ideal for salmon nor for deer but Malcom compensated a lot with alternative activities to entertain the kids. All the children loved it and are obviously hooked onto sports now on. That was the initial target and the result is well accomplished. Looking forward for more of Scotland in the future. Please convey my regards to the owner and thank him for sharing his passion for this lovely estate with us.
Edmond
It was a great event thanks in no small part to the cooperation and efficiency of all at George Goldsmith & the family and staff at Murthly. Thank you also for all your help and efficiency in finding us the place and helping to negotiate our way through it all. Hopefully we will be doing the same itinerary next year so will need a venue. Best wishes. David Bland - The Event Business - Land Rover - Range Rover
David Bland, On behalf of Land Rover
Our wedding - what can we say - just truly incredible. The chefs you put us in touch with were so organized and wonderful. The chapel at Murthly was enchanting and the reception at Halliburton made the day. What a country Scotland is. Thank you all. Bonnie Hilman & Paul Van Gemert. USA
Bonnie Hillman & Paul Van Gemert, NewYork, USA
We had some incredibly stunning days and Persie made our Wedding a very special one. Our friends and family were very impressed with the setting and even though the weather was nice all week apart from our wedding day, we enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you so much for being such a vital part in this, thanks to your kindness and grace we managed to have the wedding of our dreams.
Annonymous, Switzerland
We all had a great time at Persie. Location was great, the house was a good size and was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. A lot of our time is spent preparing and cooking meals (and eating!) and it was good to have such a well fitted out kitchen to work in. The games room was easily converted to a dance floor for a mini ceilidh on Hogmanay, which was fun. Normally we ask the housekeepers not to bother coming in at all and just do our own cleaning, setting fires etc. as we like our privacy. However, Gerard and Cherry were quite insistent that they would top up logs, set fires, maintain the bathrooms etc. They did a fine job and were very discrete. Gerard had chopped down a huge fir tree and had placed it in the hallway when we arrived. Overall, I think everyone felt that this was the best house we have stayed at and the majority have said already that they would like to come back this year.
Mr G Wallace, Stewarton, Ayrshire
Just to say thanks for your help in booking Persie House, we had a great weekend and the weather held up before the snow! We were all pleased with the facilities. Thanks again, and will be sure to contact you if I am part of any other large groups looking to get away.
Thomas Urquhart, Aberdeen
Persie was one of the loveliest places I've stayed in - I could stay here forever!
Dorothy Platt, Bristol, England
Salmon fishing and success are, in my experience, a comparatively unusual combination! The Alness is one of the prettiest rivers I have ever fished on and everyone found it a delight to be there and to fish the water. We realised from the water level we were not likely to catch a huge number, maybe half a dozen or more, so it was a bit frustrating as there were fish there, but that’s salmon fishing. Anyway we all enjoyed fishing the river and as the weather was good at least we did not get soaked catching very little. Access to the river is very good and well marked and we were supplied with very good maps, it was all very well organised.

We had a wonderful holiday at Scatwell House which is beautiful both inside and out. There was loads of space where we could all chill out and relax together or be energetic when we felt the desire and of course the weather (which you kindly arranged on our behalf) was magnificent and really put the icing on the cake! Our family loved the venue. William and Brenda were absolutely delightful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would certainly return if we decided to repeat the event in that part of the world as the venue is just magnificent. Many thanks to you all for everything you did to make this such a success for our family.
Phil, Maggie and family, Glasgow
We were bowled over by the beauty of the surroundings of Seaforth Cottage. Overlooking a loch and the rolling hills of Harris, the cottage was a wonderful holiday base; it was such a pleasure to return every afternoon after a morning exploring the area. The cottage itself is cosy but modern, and is very good value. We will be back again sometime, I hope; when the weather holds, there are few places more breathtaking in the world.
Dr C Reid, Sheffield, England
Seaforth Cottage was excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with it being ideally placed for enjoying both Harris and Lewis with excellent walking right at the door, and we were lucky enough to spot seals, otters and golden eagles from the cottage. The cottage itself was simple, cosy and very comfortable and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat for a week or two. I don't think you could improve on it to be honest! Thank you for putting us onto it, it was idyllic - and the R&R was much needed.
Ms A Clelland, Scottish Borders
We loved St Colms and had the most wonderful week there. The house was fabulous and all our guests just enjoyed being there. We loved North Berwick and everyone had a really fabulous time.

St. Colm's was the most wonderful venue in which to celebrate. The house was so perfect with lots of space to do one's own thing and then a beautiful reception room and dining room to get together every evening. Although we did go out a couple of evenings to sample the local restaurants it seemed a shame to be leaving the house. We played four games of golf in varying weather conditions and a couple of trips into Edinburgh, including a private tour of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the curator being the cousin of one of the guests. A real highlight of our stay.
Lynn Dyson, London
Everything went very well. St Colms was great and of course Margret was the icing on the cake. We truly enjoyed ourselves and are already talking of booking again next year. John M. Cefaly

Dear George, Perhaps a little belated but we felt it appropriate to convey our appreciation to you and your staff particularly to yourself and Jane Burney for your professional and very personal attention to our requirements over Christmas and New Year. We were very impressed with unlimited assistance and attention to detail your organization provided. All our family had a very memorable time at St. Colms. We were very comfortable and the size of the house permitted each of us to our own privacy if needed or together en-masse as we did on Christmas day. Should we have any future requirements in the U.K. in which your organization could or can assist we will only be too happy to make contact with you again. Once again thank you so much for contributing to our memorable family occasion. Yours sincerely Anona and Ron Gray
Mr and Mrs Gray, Dubai, Middle East
We leave tomorrow, having had a simply marvellous time. St Colms is lovely and we were so well looked after by Margaret. Weatherwise we were very lucky and had one or two terrific days. Lots of visits to Muirfield which was as good as ever. Thank you so much for letting us have the house. I am quite sure there will be lots of future demand! Best regards Simon
Simon De Zoete, Hampshire, England
Our stay at Strathconon House was fabulous. The house was of an impeccable standard and I cannot think of anything we were left wanting for.
Sam Cook, Colchester, Essex
We would like to thank you and your team for organising a brilliant time at Strone Estate with Vicky and Johnny. We really enjoyed the Stalking, the breathtaking view and the excellent dinners.

We had a fabulous and relaxed weekend at Tor Hatch. Such a lovely feel and totally perfect for our special family gathering.
Rupert Smythe, London
I thought I should email you to let you know what a super time we had at Traigh last week. What a wonderfully mellow house and such a beautiful spot. We were blessed with fine weather despite a dreadful forecast and enjoyed every day on the beach. Everything was so straightforward and well organised in the house. Sharp knives in the kitchen, plenty of larder/fridge/freezer space for provisions, a super fire in the drawing room for cooler evenings and comfortable beds all contrived to give a most relaxing and enjoyable week. With many thanks Lorna
The Smith Family, Aberdeenshire
We had a wonderful time at Traigh House. We have stayed at numerous Scottish holiday houses over the past 60 years but this was our favourite so far – the house is very comfortable, very well equipped and in the most delightful of locations; we hope to return at the same time next year.
Richard Smith, Suffolk
We had the most magical week up here at Traigh House. It is by a million miles more special than any other house we’ve stayed in in Scotland - and that is saying a lot given the wonderful places we have had the privilege to have holidays in.
Emma Rampton, Suffollk
I just wanted to email you to tell you what a wonderful week we had at Traigh house. What a location and what a house! The pictures don’t do it justice. We were very lucky with the weather which was amazing with the beach right there in front of the house. Every evening we sat out on the lawn in front of the house watching the incredible sunset going down over Rum and Eigg. We were lucky enough to watch a sea eagle on the first day just off the shore. The house is is brilliantly laid out with very comfortable beds, massive living room and plenty of fridge/freezer space. It is by far one of the best places we have stayed. We’ve made some brilliant memories including my son’s 1st birthday party. Thanks so much for organising our stay there.
Alice Smith, Devon
We had a fantastic week of sport and relaxation. The lodge was lovely, Heather and Fearne did a wonderful job of looking after us, splendid food, immense flexibility on last minute room changes etc. I have to say however the highlight was the sport - Bill was as described and he could not have been more accommodating or flexible. I had a memorable two hour stalk, including bagging a munroe, sliding down a steep gully, lying in the heather and then getting a right and a left. To top it off a snooze in the sunshine following a flask of whisky while waiting for the Argo. It could not have been better.
C Hogan, Hampshire
I had a great stay at the lodge that proved to be a perfect location to celebrate my 40th with a small group of family and friends. Heather was fantastic and really looked after us during our time there. The meals were always good, and we never went hungry. The birthday meal was especially good. I had the opportunity to get out twice with Bill onto the hill and he was extremely professional and knowledgeable, especially dealing with a novice such as myself. The location was truly magical and on some of the walks I really felt like I had the entire place to myself. The kids loved it there, and we were very lucky as most days it was warm and sunny. But there was plenty for them to do on the odd day when it did rain/snow a little. I would definitely recommend the Lodge to other people wanting to mark a special occasion with an intimate group of friends and would love to return there one day in the summer months to try my hand at stalking the red stags.
Bruce Presland, Accra, Ghana
I enjoyed every moment of our stay at Tulchan Lodge. From the beautiful river where the kids spent most of their day throwing rocks, to the lovely walks around the house and most of all Heather's cooking. Heather and Fern made our holiday so relaxing. The meals were amazing and Heather was very accommodating to everyone's dietary needs. Fern produced excellent service at dinner time, and she was so polite and courteous. Tulchan Lodge was a wonderful holiday for us to enjoy with our family and friends and we hope to return again one day in the future.
Melanie Presland, Accra, Ghana
The estate and its Lodge were simply fantastic and everything I had personally hoped for. The Lodge was extremely warm and welcoming in character, and this was only enhanced by Heather, Lilly and Fern. I cannot emphasise highly enough the wonderful job that Heather and her small team did for us. The welcome we received and quality of the fabulous meals they produced made the weekend for us all. As to the Lodge it's self - The reception room was perfect for entertaining my guests and I enjoyed a dram or two after the evening meals whilst sinking into one of the comfy sofa's to relax and unwind in front of the fire. Tulchan's Head Stalker Bill was a wonderful chap who I instantly warmed too. Bill and his team were very professional and I can see he's developing other sporting opportunities such as Partridge on the estate which I'm sure will add some additional sporting opportunities to your clients. The quality and quantity of Red's on Tulchan was staggering and I saw groups of over 200 on Saturday morning... I heard them all night too as the Rut was underway and the Roar of the stags at night carried and was wonderful. I'm pleased to report that one of my party (Angus) managed to shoot a further 4 hinds on Glen Isla I think it was and he thoroughly enjoyed his day on the hill with the Stalking from a neighbouring estate. In summary: I'd like to express my gratitude to George and Jenny for listening to my requirements and finding just the perfect location in Tulchan Estate. The Estate and its staff are a credit to its owners and I am very grateful to have been able to spend my 40th Birthday with some of my closest friends in such a wonderful location. I would have no hesitation in recommending your services or those of the Estate and its staff and hope to return to Tulchan again in the near future. I had a ball.....

We have had a most delightful short break at the Tulchan and much appreciate all your help. Craig and Matt were most welcoming and Matt kindly took us up the hill on Tuesday which allowed us the opportunity to walk for miles in perfect weather on the high tops; very welcome for ageing bones! Debs looked after us very well and made us feel most comfortable. We were particularly touched by Florian's calls and please would you convey our thanks to him for what was a most interesting and indeed nostalgic experience - as to be expected, since my last association almost 60 years ago much had changed, both inside the Lodge and its environs, and all for the better - but the essence of the Tulchan still remains as captivating and delightful as ever. Again, my thanks and sometime well drop into to say hello! With best regards.

Wyvis is an incredibly special place, wonderfully private and so tranquil, it's definitely somewhere we'll be revisiting again. We were comfortable and lovely and warm, and the four boys we had with us couldn't believe their luck with places for hide-and-go-seek and sardines! We were just so happy there, it's somewhere to unwind and be, somewhere we can't recommend highly enough. Thanks again for everything and I hope to be in touch again soon.
Nicholas Vincent, London
Wyvis was an absolutely marvellous experience. Words can’t really sum up its special spirit, and the warmth and attention that was lavished on us. Members of our group both fished and (successfully) stalked. Guide Sam Harvey took us on memorable treks, with a fantastic running commentary on the ecology, mythology and history of the Highlands (it provided a marvellous distraction from the effort of hopping from tussock to tussock). I also owe you a debt of thanks for Simon Rodgers. Not only is he a supremely talented chef, but he is a thoroughly lovely young man who was a pleasure to have at the house. We do indeed want to make it an annual thing but now we want it for TWO weeks, instead of one!

We had a most enjoyable stay at Wyvis. We all loved the house and thought that the setting is stunning. We were very well looked after by the stalkers, and the housekeeper ensured that everything was in order in the house. I really am unable to think of anything that was amiss with the arrangements. We would thoroughly recommend Wyvis as a beautiful and isolated location to spend a week at, where you can really get away from it all. Please pass on our thanks to all the staff at Wyvis who helped to make our stay so enjoyable, along with all the staff at your office who ensured that everything was so well organised

We had a very good time at the Lodge. The arrangements at the Lodge were perfect. The team did a fabulous job and are extremely cooperative with any requests we make. We went stalking, spent an afternoon doing some target shooting with the children and was very friendly and great fun. It was very nice to have the boat on the loch. You have a very good team there. Could not be more helpful, efficient and friendly.

Just to say we have just had the most amazing 2 weeks at Wyvis Lodge. The team could not do enough for us. They were wonderful. The house was superb and the views breathtaking. We were so sorry when it came to going home. A very memorable holiday and birthday for my husband. Many thanks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Wyvis. The estate is beautiful, the location tranquil and very private. The team made every effort to ensure our stay was memorable and trouble free. You were right about the Hill Loch fishing, Loch nan Druidean fished spectacularly, we had fantastic sport on dry fly, Loch Coire Bheachain fished well given that it was howling on the day. The walk up was more than repaid by the views. It really is big country up there. All in all a great time had by all, relaxing and very good for the soul. Thank you for the recommendation and usual good service.
Dean Griffin Esq, Kent
Our stay at Wyvis was fantastic. Things went really well and everyone had a great time. The lodge itself was beyond our expectations, the scenery was unreal at times and the prescence of wild life on the estate only added to the magic of the place. The housekeeper and her husband were brilliant, the location was magical, and fortunately the weather played its part. We will be back again in the future.
Mr Hany Abdelnour, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
We were all extremely enchanted by the beauty and uniqueness of the Wyvis Lodge and surroundings. It was all even better then we could have imagined. We had the most wonderful holiday. We only left Wyvis for 1 day to visit Urquhart, Loch Ness and Inverness, but we rushed back to enjoy Wyvis. Both the parents and the children absolutely loved all the activities and being outdoors. The absolute beauty of the scenery. It was a truly magical week, we definitely plan on returning!

Wyvis is a unique and special place. Always a friendly welcome and the magnificent house is warm, comfortable and has incredible views over the loch. Potter around the house and policies or head for the hill - let the estate absorb all your sporting energy and bring you home happy and relaxed. We are addicted.

The fishing and stalking were all good, certainly a highlight for me was my daughter catching her first salmon. Bighouse is really a unique place for a large gathering of families because, with the beach, it offers great appeal for both adults and children. Thank you for your part in setting up another very enjoyable week for us all.

We had a fabulous weekend. Thank you for helping to organise it all. A beautiful house, great location and total peace and quiet. Ross and Danielle were excellent and help prepare the house beautifully. We had afternoon tea at Mara on the Sunday and it was lovely. Thank you again and I look forward to booking with you again.

We had a fabulous stay, this place is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I ever visited (you were right). Thanks for helping us organise this great week and thanks to the Wyvis estate team who welcomed us extremely well.

It was superb, arrived with snow covered hills and fair to say we totally unwound in what is both a stunning location and a fantastic cottage, stayed in many over the years in the Highlands but Gardeners Cottage beats them all.
Graham Fairhurst, Cheshire
We had an absolutely wonderful time. The cottage is just lovely, everything we had hoped for and more. Warm, cosy and very well equipped. We walked every day, even the rain didn’t stop us, the glen is so beautiful. The stags were in fine voice, and some came to visit most nights.
Caroline Battye, Goole
Our stay was wonderful. The attention to detail, the staff, food and location were perfect. An amazing experience.

Even though the photos are excellent, they do not do this gorgeous property full justice. It is stunning. The house is flooded with light and views of the lovely garden are everywhere. The interior is very stylish and super cosy, with comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. A beautifully blend of the history of the house/family with new and modern comforts. The kitchen is fabulously well equipped , and there is plenty of space for gathering or for finding solitude. Everything is top quality, with lots of lovely details ; toiletries, lovely welcome hamper, fresh produce from the garden etc. A tranquil and peaceful setting - totally undisturbed. We walked, visited the glorious beaches, the air museum, the Seabird centre and played all games provided. A truly lovely place - could not recommend it more!

This is one of the most amazing places we have stayed. Leuchie Walled Garden is truly unique and somewhere you will want to make an annual holiday destination. The house is incredibly comfortable and everywhere you look there is something beautiful or interesting to see. We visited North Berwick for the day to enjoy delicious fish and chips on the beach before jumping on a boat trip tour round the historic Bass Rock. The situation within the Walled Garden is incomparable and we could not recommend it more.

Leuchie Walled Garden is out of this world and I can't wait to come back - it's perfect for a big family holiday or with a group of friends for a long weekend. Every little detail is beautiful and it's incredibly comfortable and modern while giving a really thoughtful nod to history of the house and family. We stayed as a group of friends over a long weekend and visited the beach nearby, took a boat trip out to Bass Rock and to go fishing. The kitchen was the hub for our weekend but there's also an epic dining room and the option to eat out if the weather's nice. A games room, tons of cosy reading corners and the most stunning garden make this place such a perfect retreat from the world. Couldn't recommend it more.

I am sitting at the dining table in the kitchen after a most extraordinary and memorable weekend. Leuchie Walled Garden is a beautiful property and a magnificent location for a celebration of any kind. On a weekend of wonderful late summer sunshine, it is elevated to the idyllic. Our family arrived before us and by the time we pulled up on Friday evening, they had scouted out the facilities, tried out the snooker table and lined up the 1st bottle of champagne. From that moment on, we have had a weekend I can only describe as beyond perfect. Steve’s menus and Catherine’s wine choices were the finishing touches. Tomorrow we return to reality but we will carry the memories of our time here for a very, very long time.

We had a wonderful stay at Loch na Bo House. Such a beautiful house full of lovely antiques, and the setting couldn't have been better. We saw lots of wildlife and had fun in the boats.
Please say thank you to the Loch na Bo 'team' - we really appreciated the welcome hamper and the lovely toiletries etc., and everything else that was done to make us feel at home. Batteries well and truly recharged!

We have had a magical time here. The nature and beauty has totally blown us away. Being able to watch the red squirrels has been such a lovely experience and we feel so lucky to have seen them. This really is a home away from home - thank you so much for sharing it with us.

A magical Scottish Place! We have enjoyed a spectacular week at beautiful Loch Na Bo. The woodlands and the trails offered exceptionally peaceful walks. The loch is os lovely - swans and cygnets, herons and martins… they offered us hours of enjoyment. The boat ride and paddle - such fun! Loch Na Bo House is lovely and comfortable. I don’t know how you ever leave here. This is a very beautiful and relaxing place. We found it enchanting and so enjoyable. Thank you for allowing us to come after the 2 year pandemic wait.

Beautiful house and setting. We Rowed the length of the loch, watched squirrels and pine martins, owls and cygnets. Loved all the antiques and especially the old baths. Sorry to leave.

We’ve all returned safely from Delnabo … boooo! We had the best time and the weather was fantastic, many thanks for helping with arrangements. Friday we visited a ceramic experience in Grantown-on-Spey, followed by a nice dinner at the Clockhouse restaurant in Tomintoul which had just opened that day. Saturday we did the art tour and afternoon tea at the Fife Arms in Braemar … the wee ones were able to entertain guests on the piano in reception. We also saw the whisky they have at £10,000 per dram .. ouch! At night we had someone come along to explain the dark skies to the girls … absolutely fascinating, they were full of questions for the chap who was doing it … think he was surprised. Sunday we had a massive easter egg hunt … no idea how the easter bunny found Delnabo … walk in the forest … visit to Ballindalloch Castle followed by fab dinner in the dining room supplied by Ghillies Kitchen. Monday we couldn't really go very far because the girls had arranged a full day of feeding cows and walking dogs with Katy and Dave. They had been doing that most days and for them it was the highlight of the holiday. You can safely pencil us in for next year.

Delnabo is a beautiful house and it is clear that the owners did not look to economize when renovating and equipping the house. Very nice beds and bath rooms, Katie was most helpful and kind, great living, kitchen and dining room, two washing machines and two big fridges and very complete equipment in the kitchen. Emma Bridgewater mugs, beautiful heavy curtains. Beautiful walks, fishing, swimming in the river.
