Trout fishing and Red Deer stalking is available during the season.  Salmon fishing can be arranged on the nearby River Alness and there are miles of pony tracks on the estate for extensive walking opportunities.

We say...

Wyvis Lodge is the ultimate remote and relaxing Highland retreat. It has one of the most breathtaking locations at the head of its own glen, accessed by private road. Stalking for two rifles and wild brown trout fishing on Loch Glass and the hill lochs.

You say...

We were all extremely enchanted by the beauty and uniqueness of the Wyvis Lodge and surroundings. It was all even better then we could have imagined. We had the most wonderful holiday. We only left Wyvis for 1 day to visit Urquhart, Loch Ness and Inverness, but rushed back to enjoy Wyvis.  Both the parents and the children absolutely loved all the activities and being outdoors. The absolute beauty of the scenery. It was a truly magical week, we definitely plan on returning!

Testimonials

Wyvis is an incredibly special place, wonderfully private and so tranquil, it's definitely somewhere we'll be revisiting again. We were comfortable and lovely and warm, and the four boys we had with us couldn't believe their luck with places for hide-and-go-seek and sardines! We were just so happy there, it's somewhere to unwind and be, somewhere we can't recommend highly enough. Thanks again for everything and I hope to be in touch again soon.

Nicholas Vincent, London

Wyvis was an absolutely marvellous experience. Words can’t really sum up its special spirit, and the warmth and attention that was lavished on us. Members of our group both fished and (successfully) stalked. Guide Sam Harvey took us on memorable treks, with a fantastic running commentary on the ecology, mythology and history of the Highlands (it provided a marvellous distraction from the effort of hopping from tussock to tussock). I also owe you a debt of thanks for Simon Rodgers. Not only is he a supremely talented chef, but he is a thoroughly lovely young man who was a pleasure to have at the house. We do indeed want to make it an annual thing but now we want it for TWO weeks, instead of one!

We had a most enjoyable stay at Wyvis. We all loved the house and thought that the setting is stunning. We were very well looked after by the stalkers, and the housekeeper ensured that everything was in order in the house. I really am unable to think of anything that was amiss with the arrangements. We would also like to say how wonderfully our chef, Laurie Mill, looked after us for the week. The food was excellent including homebaked bread every morning, a cake for afternoon tea and a varied 3 course meal every evening. He even entertained us, playing the bagpipes and guitar. He did ask that we pass on his contact details to you and we are more than happy to recommend him. We would thoroughly recommend Wyvis as a beautiful and isolated location to spend a week at, where you can really get away from it all. Please pass on our thanks to all the staff at Wyvis who helped to make our stay so enjoyable, along with all the staff at your office who ensured that everything was so well organised

We had a very good time at the Lodge. The arrangements at the Lodge were perfect. The team did a fabulous job and are extremely cooperative with any requests we make. We went stalking, spent an afternoon doing some target shooting with the children and was very friendly and great fun. It was very nice to have the boat on the loch. You have a very good team there. Could not be more helpful, efficient and friendly.

Just to say we have just had the most amazing 2 weeks at Wyvis Lodge. The team could not do enough for us. They were wonderful. The house was superb and the views breathtaking. We were so sorry when it came to going home. A very memorable holiday and birthday for my husband. Many thanks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Wyvis. The estate is beautiful, the location tranquil and very private. The team made every effort to ensure our stay was memorable and trouble free. You were right about the Hill Loch fishing, Loch nan Druidean fished spectacularly, we had fantastic sport on dry fly, Loch Coire Bheachain fished well given that it was howling on the day. The walk up was more than repaid by the views. It really is big country up there. All in all a great time had by all, relaxing and very good for the soul. Thank you for the recommendation and usual good service.

Dean Griffin Esq, Kent

Our stay at Wyvis was fantastic. Things went really well and everyone had a great time. The lodge itself was beyond our expectations, the scenery was unreal at times and the prescence of wild life on the estate only added to the magic of the place. The housekeeper and her husband were brilliant, the location was magical, and fortunately the weather played its part. We will be back again in the future.

Wyvis is a unique and special place. Always a friendly welcome and the magnificent house is warm, comfortable and has incredible views over the loch. Potter around the house and policies or head for the hill - let the estate absorb all your sporting energy and bring you home happy and relaxed. We are addicted.
