St Cuthbert’s has been entirely refurbished to the highest standards throughout, with classical interiors complemented by modern amenities. Catering at St Cuthbert’s is entirely flexible; the services of a chef can be organised if required, meals can be pre-ordered on request or else the property can be taken on a self-catered basis.
Though St Cuthbert’s location makes it an obvious choice for the fisherman, the surrounding area offers much aside, including beautiful walks, the beaches of Berwick, a huge choice of golf courses, riding at stables nearby and renowned landmarks such as Lindesfarne, and Bamburgh and Alnwick Castles all in close proximity.
St Cuthbert’s is a very family-friendly property, providing extensive indoor baby and toddler feeding and sleeping equipment as well as a selection of toys and books. Outside, there are ride on toys and a mini fort, comprising a climbing frame, swings and a slide.
Rental Low Season from £1,950 per self catered week High Season from £2,450 per self catered week
St Cuthbert’s has been recently refurbished and offers very comfortable accommodation. It is ideal for a family holiday or perfectly situated for salmon fishing on the River Tweed.
The accommodation comprises 5 double bedrooms (3 doubles and 2 doubles / twins as required) and 5 bathrooms (4 ensuite plus 1 family bathroom), a large kitchen with seating for up to 10, drawing room and dining room. There is ample storage space for fishing and outdoor gear, including a separate box freezer in which to store the catch of the day.
Dogs are welcome at St Cuthbert’s Farmhouse, though we would ask that they are kept to the downstairs of the property.
There is superb fishing available on the River Tweed (pre-booking required), which has a deserved reputation as one of the world’s great salmon fisheries. While The Tweed is internationally famous for salmon, the river also has an excellent run of sea trout both in the summer and the autumn.
There are lots of things to do and see locally including beautiful walks, the beaches of Berwick, a huge choice of golf courses, riding at stables nearby and renowned landmarks such as Lindesfarne, and Bamburgh and Alnwick Castles are all in close proximity.
