Scatwell House lies in perfect tranquillity and seclusion in the heart of Strathconon, considered by many to be one of Scotland’s most beautiful glens. This fine highland retreat is also very accessible, being just 30 minutes from the centre of Inverness and 45 minutes from Dalcross Airport.

Scatwell House is a Victorian Shooting Lodge decorated to the highest of standards with accommodation for up to 18 guests in a mixture of 9 double, twin or family bedrooms, most of which enjoy en-suite bath/shower rooms. The two family bedrooms have extra beds for 2 children in each. The main reception rooms all have either open fires or wood burning stoves and there is a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast seating for up to 10 guests. Enjoy some after dinner entertainment in the billiard room!

The surrounding countryside is renowned for its striking scenery changing from the dramatic mountains, streams and lochs of the Highlands to the native woodlands along the River Conon as well as the many fine specimen trees to be found in Scatwell House Gardens.

Scatwell House is let on a self-catered basis.

Guests may enjoy fishing on nearby rivers or lochs, outstanding shooting and stalking on local estates, golf at Castle Stuart, Nairn or Royal Dornoch as well as the option of exploring both the East and West Coasts and the surrounding countryside on foot, bicycle or by car or train.

Scatwell House is let on a Saturday to Saturday basis.

We say...

Scatwell House offers beautiful, comfortable accommodation in the midst of Strathconon, one of Scotland’s most stunning glens.

You say...

We had a wonderful holiday at Scatwell House which is beautiful both inside and out. There was loads of space where we could all chill out and relax together or be energetic when we felt the desire and of course the weather (which you kindly arranged on our behalf) was magnificent and really put the icing on the cake! Our family loved the venue. William and Brenda were absolutely delightful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would certainly return if we decided to repeat the event in that part of the world as the venue is just magnificent. Many thanks to you all for everything you did to make this such a success for our family.
