Fishing
The principal fishing is on the Gruinard River and consists of two beats out of which three beats alternate on a daily basis – 3 rods per beat, making a total of 6. There is also a boat on Loch na Sealga at the head of the river and sea trout fishing on Loch Ghuibsachain.
The Gruinard River is about 12 miles from Eilean Darach Lodge. Please note: Lodge guests will require their own 4-wheel drive transport for use on the river track to access the beats.
There is also fishing available on the Dundonnell River which comprises of 5 pools within short walking distance of the House. A ghillie is available for tenants on the Gruinard River and Loch na Sealga. By arrangement with the ghillie, tenants may also fish Loch Coire Chacrachain, a 50 minute walk from the main road. A copy of instructions for the river will be sent to all fishing tenants and the ghillie will of course normally be able to answer further queries.
