Rottal Estate is situated in the heart of Glen Clova in the Angus glens and offers prime, mixed sporting opportunities.
Occasionally we have mixed sporting weeks to offer or we can offer late spring and early summer weeks with trout and salmon fishing on the Rottal Estate loch or salmon fishing on 3.5 miles of the River South Esk. The hill loch is stocked with both brown and rainbow trout and there is a bothy for guests to use.

Surrounded by 8,000 acres of wild Scottish countryside, the estate is the perfect location for a retreat and to enjoy outdoor activities
Take a walk through the rolling hills of Glen Clova to enjoy some spectacular views and explore the varied wildlife. There are over 100 different species of birds either breeding or visiting the estate include Lapwing, Curlew, Golden Plover, Whimbrel, Greenshank, Redshank, Ring Ouzel, Golden Eagle, Osprey, Merlin, Red Kite and Peregrine. In addition there are Red squirrels, pine martens, otters, and you may even spot the occasional Wild Cat.
The terrain ranges from 800ft to 3,000ft above sea level so if you are looking for a challenging hike the estate can advise you on the best routes available.
