Port-an-Eilean, Loch Tummel
Sleeps 25 / From £14,300 per week
Port-an-Eilean is situated in a breathtaking location on the north bank of Loch Tummel and surrounded by 40 acres of natural and ancient woodland, with magnificent views towards Schiehallion, one of Scotland’s most iconic mountains.
Built by the 6th Duke of Atholl in 1868 as a fishing lodge, Port an Eilean is perfect for entertaining larger groups, offering a multitude of indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces.
Meet in the Library for pre-dinner drinks, and after dining with family, friends or colleagues, retreat to the drawing room complete with grand piano for some entertainment, or for the more competitive head to the Games Room. Log fires in the main reception rooms add to the ambience. For those seeking solitude, the Tower Room is the perfect place to escape to with a newspaper or good book.
The outside seating areas are designed to make the most of the stunning views throughout the day and into the evening, as well as affording opportunities to spot the abundant local wildlife including deer, pine martens, otters, ospreys and sparrow hawks to name but a few.
For alfresco dining there is a purpose built ‘sitooterie’ and BBQ area complete with fire pit.
The outdoor theme continues with an all-weather tennis court/five-a-side pitch, which also doubles as a netball pitch, giving ample opportunity for parents versus the kids’ activities. Volleyball and badminton are also playable on an adjacent grassed area. And if that isn’t enough there is also a professional golf putting area and a boules court!
Fish for salmon, trout, pike and perch off the banks and jetty or, by prior arrangement and weather permitting, enjoy sailing down Loch Tummel in the Maxima 550 Sloop with a boatman.
There is an excellent local pub in the village.
Should your numbers grow, there is a 4 bedroomed cottage sleeping an additional 8 guests, available at an additional cost and subject to availability, which has a fabulous games room equipped with table tennis, table football, pool and darts.

Testimonials
What can I say except – remarkable, exceptional, stunning, a birthday to remember and a memory never to forget!! Our stay was amazing from start to finish. The service was outstanding everyone, from the booking phase right through to the staff assisting my girls with their event planning, was exceptional. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The accommodation itself was stunning beautifully maintained, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making our time there both relaxing and memorable. Every little detail was perfectly handled, and we truly felt cared for throughout our stay. I didn’t want to leave. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone.
