Newhall House is a beautiful property of historical interest, sitting amidst exquisite gardens.
Whether you’re planning a family gathering, birthday party or corporate retreat, or looking for exclusive use of the Estate, there is no better place to bring everyone together than Newhall.
With its beautiful secluded rural environment, Newhall’s character-filled rooms create a stunning backdrop to any kind of gathering. Every event needs its own special touch, and Newhall Estate is up to the task.
Newhall has been home to generations of families since the 13th century. The main building on the Estate dates back to 1703, when it was constructed by David Forbes. The home has seen its share of additions and alterations since its extension in 1792, but it still maintains its elegant character. You can spot tributes to Allan Ramsay’s poem The Gentle Shepherd throughout the home and gardens.
The Estate is home to a collection of natural features, from waterfalls and caves to the surrounding woodland. The exquisite gardens, originally built in 1796, are still tended to by the family. Each season brings a new character to the grounds and often a fresh perspective with which to explore.
The Main House can accommodate up to 29 guests, and the 3 adjacent cottages can provide accommodation for a further 11 guests.
Newhall is available between the end of October and the end of February each year for Corporate Events and Private Stays on either a self-catered, or fully catered basis.
30 minute drive from Edinburgh airport.
