Sleeps 20 / £POA
Myres Castle offers luxury accommodation for up to 20 guests. Ideal for family reunions, small weddings, executive retreats and corporate entertainment.
Myres Castle is set on a rise just outside the village of Auchtermuchty in north Fife with panoramic views from the battlements over the surrounding countryside. The castle is given total privacy by 45 acres of its own grounds enclosed within a high stone wall.
This is a place you can feel instantly at home; the staff are friendly, the food exceptional, and the atmosphere a happy combination of grand and intimate.
The castle interior has the warm, light and welcoming atmosphere of a genuinely loved family home. Each bedroom has a special character and special care and attention has been paid to the interior decoration with luxurious fabrics, works of art and fascinating objects from the castle’s historic past.
Myres has a long history. The land, which originally belonged to the Earl of Fife, was granted to Robert Coxwell, Mace Bearer and Sergeant at Arms to James I of Scotland, in 1424. The original castle was built in the early 16th century and it was much expanded and remodelled as the property changed hands over the years.
It is now owned by the Barge family who look forward to welcoming you to their home.
Only 35 miles from Edinburgh Airport.
Please note that Myres Castle closes its doors over the Winter months.
