Lundies House is a restoration of a former manse house defined by its location and inviting atmosphere, with amazing views and positioned on a key stop over point on the Scottish North Coast 500.
Inspired by a deep sense of place, community and by the beauty of its location, Lundies House is a guesthouse of a very special kind. Here refined interiors and a profound sense of comfort combine to create a house of simple beauty and stillness to which you arrive to relax, explore and enjoy the magnificent surrounding countryside and landscape. Nestled between some of the most famous bens in Scotland, Lundies House looks over stone walls towards the ruins of Caisteal Bharraich as the landscape opens into Kyle of Tongue and Tongue Bay.
Formerly known as the Tongue Manse, the house was built it 1842. Latterly the house became known to the locals as Lundies, named after the Reverend Lundie who was one of the first ministers to live in the building. Today the former manse is recognised as a category B listed building, adjacent to the A listed St. Andrew’s Church where the good reverend preached.
The Lundie House experience offers a unique get away that is defined by its individual and inviting atmosphere, where guests are invited to share the house with fellow and like-minded travellers in an atmosphere of cool and relaxed enjoyment.

Accommodation
The main house, a converted B-listed manse, will provide accommodation for up to 16 people in 3 double bedrooms and 1 top floor apartment. In addition, the house’s steadings have been converted and remodelled to provide a further 3 contemporary courtyard studios, a semi self-contained cosy apartment, outdoor summer eating area and motorbike parking.
On the first floor are 3 double bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and views out to the Kyle of Tongue or over the surrounding gardens. These spacious and bright rooms have been designed with rest and relaxation at their core – places to sleep, bathe and reflect in the finest surroundings after a day’s exploring. All rooms will have a free-standing bathtub and enjoy a colour palette of serene muted tones.
On the top floor there will be a small apartment with a living room, bathroom and cosy bedroom with box bed. These rooms have been designed to offer warmth and comfort, with the walls clad in tongue and groove and the box bed nestled beneath the window.

Situated on the Scottish North Coast 500, Lundie house is an ideal stop off point to park your vintage car or motorbike and enjoy the most northern part of Scotland.
