Sporting

Kingie Estate is situated in magnificent west coast scenery and extends to 18,000 acres on the south side of Loch Quoich.  As mentioned, the deer forest is reached by crossing Loch Quoich by the estate boat. Kingie is surrounded by other well known deer forests such as Achnacarry, Knoydart, Glendessary, Barisdale and Glen Quoich.

Stalking
Stalking at Kingie has been largely retained by the family since the estate was purchased in 1989 and we are now delighted to be able to offer some of the finest and most challenging stalking in Scotland.  We can offer red deer stalking from late August to early October.

At the end of the day the stalker will bring you home across the loch by boat.  Stalking rates currently charged at £720.00 inc VAT per stag.

Hind stalking is available from late October until mid February although it is the estate policy to rest the ground for a few weeks after the stag season has finished.  Current hind stalking rates are charged at £350.00 inc VAT per rifle per day.

Fishing
There is brown trout fishing on Loch Quoich from the bank only.  Loch Quoich produced a record brown trout of 20 lbs in 1978 and trout of 7lbs and 8lbs are caught most years.

Walking
For the non-sporting guest, the estate offers gentle hill walks amidst spectacular scenery and for the more adventurous, there are five ‘Munros’ of over 3,000 feet on the estate.

A short drive to Kinloch Hourn will bring you to the dramatic west coast, which offers rugged and wonderful walking with views to the Isle of Skye.

I just wanted to thank you for organising a perfect week up in Scotland for me. Kingie was ideal. The stalker was great and the lodge very comfortable. Chris was an excellent cook and very helpful generally in knowing where to procure the little things that we'd left behind. Thank you too for the contact for the 4 x 4. It worked out very well. I had a great experience with your agency and would be happy to recommend you to others. I will by using your agency again myself. All the best. Majid Jafar.
