Kinblethmont is a wonderful base for exploring Angus and Scotland generally. The main house and cottages nestle in the tranquil policy woodlands in the centre of the arable farmland. The house is the perfect retreat for family gatherings, golf groups and corporate retreats and events. Its unique atmosphere comes from the house’s Victorian pedigree mixed with its contemporary comfort and homeliness.

Kinblethmont House comfortably accommodates up to 28 people in 14 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms but is also ideal for smaller groups.

In the summer you can play croquet or badminton, visit the unspoilt beach at Lunan Bay or just relax on the sheltered terrace in the sun with a coffee or gin and tonic while the children (of all ages!) play. The house is set amidst mature woodland with specimen trees and there are some lovely woodland walks around the estate at all times of year. The immediate area is also particularly suitable for cycling.

In the winter you may prefer to play board games or try your luck at snooker or table tennis. The more adventurous may even decide to check out the snow sports at Glen Shee or the Lecht. Whatever the weather the children will have huge fun exploring the extensive woodland policies or playing hide and seek.

All house lets include linen, towels, bathrobes, electricity, central heating and logs for fires. We can also arrange child and baby furniture (cots, high chairs etc) and office facilities.

The house comes on a self-catering basis however they are more than happy to help you arrange catering whether it is an elegant full 4 course dinner or some ready cooked food to put in the AGA to feed the hungry hoards!

Kinblethmont House can seat 45 guests for a celebratory dinner.
