Killiehuntly farmhouse has stood watch over the sprawling Cairngorm mountains since 1850. A lot may have changed since then, but the slow and gentle rhythm of life at Killiehuntly certainly hasn’t. Then, as now, the house sat as a haven in the landscape – a beautiful, simple shelter from the hurry and haste of everyday life.
A beautiful Scottish house has a distinctly Scandinavian sensibility, representing a new generation of small and special places to stay and available on an exclusive use rental.
A wonderfully relaxed home from home for up to eight people. You can help yourself to a cold beer or a little negroni from our honesty bar whenever the fancy takes you, or sprawl on the sofa with a good book after a day exploring the hills. Life at the farmhouse is about taking the day at your own pace.
The team provide a hearty breakfast every morning and a relaxed cup of something hot with cake to keep you nourished until supper. They serve a family-style meal in the dining room and at kitchen table, which is included in your rate.
For guests staying more than one night, complimentary packed lunches can be ordered the night before to take out on a day’s adventure.
Killiehuntly have a good selection of wine, beers and spirits which will be added to your bill to settle upon departure.

Activities
Situated admist the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, Killiehuntly is perfectly placed for hiking and hill walking. The team at Killiehuntly will be very happy to point you in the direction of some good routes or inquire directly for guided walk availability.
Use of Killiehuntly’s wild sauna yurt, which you will find nestled between a cluster of ancient trees, is offered to all guests with our compliments. The sauna yurt is heated by a slow-burning wood fire to reach around 80C, making for a nice healthy sweat. The ideal way to warm up after a days adventure or round off your time of relaxation.
They also have e- mountain bikes available for hire whenever the fancy takes you.
The team can also organise a Yoga class, or a massage.
