Built in 1923 for the family of the Earl of Wemyss, Green Craig lies minutes from Gullane and is just 15 miles east of Edinburgh.
Privately situated in 50 acres of mature woodland, Green Craig is a wonderful holiday home for a large family, a golfing party or a corporate function.
Golf: Scotland, and East Lothian in particular, is considered a golfer’s paradise, for both players and spectators alike. East Lothian possesses 19 courses that offer a mix of traditional links and classic inland golf to suit all standards and tastes, none of which are further than 20 minutes’ drive from the house.
Neighboured to the east is Kilspindie Golf Club and Craigielaw Golf Club, while the village of Gullane, home to Muirfield, the British Open Championship course, is just 7 minutes away by car.
The famous Muirfield links, Gullane I, II and III and the private club of Luffness are less than 5 minute’s journey, whilst the magnificent links golf course of Craigielaw and the traditional links course of Kilspindie neighbour the house itself.
After a day on the golf course come back to sit in the outside hot tub with panoramic views out over the water!
Enjoying a view of one of the area’s best wildlife beaches – Aberlady Nature Reserve – guests can watch seals sunbathing on the sandbanks from the house.
Green Craig makes a great base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings of East Lothian, Edinburgh and the lovely Scottish Borders.
Green Craig also provides a great base for those wishing to experience the Edinburgh Festival during August.
Cottage There is a small cottage to the rear of the property which could accommodate additional guests or staff. This has 1 set of bunk beds, 1 x twin bedroom and a sofa bed. It has its own bath with shower over. This can be rented in conjunction with the main house for an additional charge of £550.
Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. There is a £20 charge per dog.

The panelled dining room enjoys views over the terrace and gardens. The dining table can seat 12 comfortably, or guests could set up the room for 30 guests for a special occasion or business event.
Also on the ground floor is the gallery, a peaceful space for reading the morning newspapers and catching up with the outside world.
For ample storage for golf bags or any other sporting equipment, the locker room is also located on ground level. Practice balls and croquet equipment are kept here so guests can enjoy a game.

The largest bedroom has views over the sea, the eighth green at Kilspindie and the gardens, and comes with a separate dressing room and ample closet space.
Bedroom two, a restful room decorated in the French style, has views over the sea to Fife. This room has both a free-standing shower and bath.
Bedroom three, generously sized with a built in closet and day bed, has an uninterrupted view of the water that stretches for some 20 miles out to the Forth Bridges.
