Please do not hesitate to request further details and rate. The Gordon Castle sporting estate on the River Spey offers first class salmon fishing recognised to be amongst the greatest in Britain.

Gordon Castle marries the traditional splendour of a Highland Scottish castle with a subtle touch of 21st Century comfort.  Fishing parties can enjoy eight miles of world class Salmon fishing on the Castle and Brae Water beats of the River Spey with roe stalking and clay pigeon shooting also available.

The Castle boasts eight spacious bedrooms of individual character (each with en-suite bathroom and king sized bed), a drawing room, a study, a billiard room and two large reception rooms.

Other sporting activities can be sourced locally.

There is also a tennis court, mountain bikes, and over 20 golf courses along with Speyside’s Malt Whisky Distilleries and other famous attractions close by including Gordon Castle’s own Walled Garden, café and shop.

Guests are catered for by their resident gourmet chef who serves the very best of locally sourced cuisine: Aberdeen Angus Beef, Morayshire Pork, Game from the Estate, fresh fish from the River Spey, shellfish from the Moray Firth, herbs, fruit and vegetables from the Walled Garden….this is just a flavour of what’s on the menu. The day starts with a full Scottish breakfast and a range of fruits, cereals, yoghurts and breads. They pack lavish picnic hampers for sporting parties and serve afternoon teas with homemade cakes and pastries for guests back at the Castle. In the evening a sumptuous dinner awaits in the Castle’s grand dining room.

Gordon Castle was historically the principal seat of the Dukes of Gordon and was one of the largest houses ever built in Scotland. Most of the castle was demolished in the 1950s and one wing was converted into a comfortable house in its own right. The Castle recently underwent significant renovations.

Minimum rental 3 nights.
