Glenfeshie Lodge is situated in the heart of the spectacular 47,000 acre Glenfeshie Estate, with outstanding views out over the River Feshie and the Cairngorm Mountains.
Arguably one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland, Glenfeshie is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Arriving at Glenfeshie by single track road, the Glen opens out offering guests their first taste of a true wilderness. The Estate has been carefully managed and rewilded to preserve the last remnants of the Caledonian Forest and abundant wildlife, including Golden Eagles, wildcats, pine martens, ospreys, black grouse, ptarmigan and otters.
Dating back to around 1880, Glenfeshie Lodge has hosted an array of guests through the years, including Queen Victoria. Royal connections have continued and in recent years the Danish crown prince, Henrik, has enjoyed the lodge along with the likes of actress Dame Helen Mirren. It is said that the famous painting “Monarch of the Glen” by Edwin Landseer originates from here, and the lodge has appeared in a number of film and series such as “The Crown” and “The Queen”.
The lodge has been tastefully renovated and refurbished providing guests with great comfort. Entering through the main door you’ll be greeted by a large hallway leading to a historic dining room and a spacious living room with a large stone fireplace, both with views out over the glen. Sleeping up to 12 guests in 7 unique bedrooms, todays interior and decor is partly done by Ralph Lauren who commissioned a complete redesign. The interior is specifically made for the lodge, for example, the carpets, designed by Lauren, that cover the stairway through to the bedrooms. Also redesigned by Lauren is the grand master-bedroom overlooking the glen and the River Feshie.
