There are also a number of trout lochs on the estate offering wild brown trout fishing.
Stalking is available from August for one or two rifles with an expectation of up to 6/8 stags per week. The sport is let with accommodation at either Glencalvie Lodge or Diebidale Lodge. Glencalvie Lodge offers very comfortable accommodation for up to fourteen guests.
The Glencalvie Estate, approached through part of the Caledonian Forest at the head of the Strathcarron, is one of the finest sporting estates in the Highlands. Glen Diebidale and Glencalvie are some of the most picturesque glens in this part of Rosshire. They are home to a variety of wildlife including Red, Sika and Roe Deer. It is possible to see Golden Eagles, Ptarmigan, Grouse and many resident and migratory birds, as well as countless wild flowers at different times of the year.
Glencalvie is the perfect setting for both private and corporate guests to enjoy a sporting or family holiday in the Highlands in great comfort.
Glencalvie Lodge is probably among one of the top lodges in Scotland offering extremely comfortable, classic accommodation in a wonderful setting on the Glencalvie Estate. Traditional stalking is available for one/two rifles together with extensive salmon fishing over several beats of the River Carron.
It was fantastic as usual, Mattie and Jean are stars and made everyone welcome – absolutely great. Daniel is excellent – quite outstanding and looked after us extremely well. It is a wonderful location.
We will be making plans for next year.
With thanks to you George and the owners.

Glencalvie Lodge was built in 1910 by C.W. Dyson Perrins (of Lea and Perrins fame) as one of his sporting lodges in Ross-shire.
The reception rooms include a fine drawing room with birch log fire, dining room, breakfast room and games room with a half-size billiard table. There is also a conservatory and the lodge is well equipped with an excellent gun and rod room, drying room and kitchen with Aga.
Glencalvie Lodge has 5 double bedrooms (four with private bathrooms), 3 twin bedrooms (one with private bathroom) and 3 single bedrooms. The nursery has a further 2 single beds with shower room. We normally restrict the number of guests in any one party to a maximum of 14.
Linen and towels are included. Housekeeping is included throughout the week
Salmon fishing Glencalvie has some of the best fishing on the River Carron including the famous Falls Pool and there is salmon fishing for 4 rods. There is a reciprocal arrangement with the neighbouring Amat Estate whereby guests will fish two beats on a half day about basis, ensuring that there is double bank fishing at all times. An additional 2 rods on the Glencalvie Beat is included in the rental.
Salmon fishing on the River Carron for 4 rods & trout fishing on estate lochs. Fly only.
Stalking The Forests of Glencalvie and Diebidale carry a good head of deer and 2 rifles can expect to take 5-10 stags each week during September and October. One rifle each day during August can be arranged.

If required additional stalking can be taken in the area.
