Dun Aluinn is available for that truly memorable Christmas celebration; available for a 5-7 night festive stay. This amazing property sleeps 18 guests in supreme comfort, and can also provide additional accommodation in their very special Lodge for a further 8 guests. Dun Aluinn is an exceptional property, set on the edge of Aberfeldy, the house provides guests with a haven to enjoy the surrounding area.
Situated on an elevated site overlooking the town of Aberfeldy and the sweeping River Tay, Dun Aluinn enjoys 5.5 acres of private grounds with an extensive terrace with stunning views down the Tay Valley to Schiehallion.
Originally built in 1909, the house had been extensively refurbished throughout to the highest of standards and is now available to rent as a luxury large holiday home.
The house sleeps up to 18 guests in 9 bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, one of which is situated on the ground floor and is fully accessible. For larger groups it is possible to rent the Lodge, which has 4 en-suite bedrooms, bringing the total capacity up to to 26 guests.
For large groups space is in abundance with a large kitchen, dining / drawing room, TV Room and Lounge and a Cinema room with Bose surround sound. There is a fabulous play den for younger guests, with a great mix of books and toys.
Relax in the wonderful Wood Fired natural cedar Hot Tub, nestled in the woods beside the house, large enough for 10-12 guests. There is also a fire pit on the terrace with outside seating and throws.
For special dinners, sit around the bronze and oak table, 5.5m long, the table is a single piece of casted bronze – it’s the longest bronze table in the world!
Dun Aluinn frames a superb setting, but also offers all the key facilities for a successful business / corporate event, product launch or strategic retreat for your executive team. Thanks to the stylish layout of the house, you have the opportunity to run several breakout sessions both within the house and on the terrace.
If you want to refresh and recharge once the business is done, they have partnered with some world class local Highland providers to offer some amazing experiences, from an evening of music & storytelling in the Scottish Crannog on Loch Tay to helicopter day trip to Isle of Skye, as well as fishing and whisky tasting in local Dewars Whisky.
Dun Aluinn is available for hire as an Exclusive Use venue with catering provided by their partners Ballintaggart Farm. Housekeeping included each day and the House Manager is on hand to provide a concierge service, make a memorable stay for you and your guests!
Should you require additional accommodation, an additional 4 bedrooms are available in The Lodge.

The Lodge can be rented independently of the main House at Dun Aluinn, or together for larger groups (up to 26 guests). The Lodge has its own private entrance, private parking & grounds. The Lodge sleeps 8 guests – 4 bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, 2 king size beds and 2 superking size.

Dogs
A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only. Owners must bring their own dogs bedding and bowls. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or in bedrooms and not be left unattended at any time. There is a £15 charge per dog per night.

Dun Aluinn have access to some stunning private estates in Perthshire and together with our expert partners, we will arrange a truly, uniquely Scottish experience for you. With the support of a Highland Pony to carry the equipment, we will set out on a beautiful hike in one of private estates near Aberfeldy, and after a couple of hours walking, you will come upon our Tipi and table & chairs all set up to enjoy a wonderful lunch in the wilderness.
After lunch, enjoy a Falconry display of wild Scottish birds and eagles, swooping low across the land.
Dun Aluinn Whisky Experience
Dun Aluinn has teamed up with three world-renowned local whisky distilleries to create a unique, truly immersive whisky experience in the Scottish Highlands. The Dun Aluinn Whisky Experience includes exclusive private access to the following distilleries: Dewars Distillery, based in Aberfeldy and just a short walk from Dun Aluinn. Blair Athol Distillery, situated on the southern edge of one of Perthshire’s most picturesque towns, Pitlochry, a 30-minute drive from Dun Aluinn.
The Glenturret Distillery, Scotland’s oldest working distillery on the banks of the River Turret in a secluded Highland glen, now home to the Michelin- starred Lalique Restaurant, and just 40 minutes’ drive from Dun Aluinn.

Hiking & Outdoor Adventures
Dun Aluinn can tailor every itinerary to the exactly needs of our guests. They are located in one of the most stunning locations in Scotland, where they partner with expert local partners to deliver exceptional experiences:
Highland Safaris team arrive at with Defender 4×4’s and take guests off-road and into the mountains, stopping off for a wee dram on a hilltop bothy.
From a guided walk in the hills, to canoeing on Loch Tay or perhaps wild swimming in the rivers and lochs that the locals go, Beyond Adventure will guide you expertly throughout.
A favourite is a guided e-bike tour on the quiet roads and paths up GlenLyon estate, stopping off for a nice lunch on the heather, enjoying the fabulous view and calmness.
For the more adventurous, they can create a Hike-Bike-Canoe day adventure. Guided hike up Schiehallion, the local Munro, followed by downhill mountain biking through forest trials to the Loch side village of Kenmore to meet the Beyond Adventure, to canoe or kayak downstream on the River Tay back to Aberfeldy. Lunch and refreshment can be arranged on route.
