Any additional cleaning required will be charged.

There are also outdoor kennels available.
The trust who owns Delnabo has a clear focus on the conservation of red list species, and at certain times of year it is not possible to walk dogs off the lead on the estate, especially during Spring and early Summer months when ground nesting birds, curlew, lapwing, oyster catchers, red grouse etc are hatching, and sheep and cattle will be lambing and calving with lambs and calves at foot. During these periods, the estate kindly request that guests (and estate employees) do not walk their dogs on any part of the estate and are only allowed use the circular on the metalled public road and Avenue to the Lodge. This way the owners hope that the least disturbance will create the best possible chance for bird assemblages to fledge and thrive.

Thank you so much for your help in finding this wonderful accommodation that was just perfect for our retreat. I couldn't imagine a place more suitable. Everything was comfortable and beautiful.

We’ve all returned safely from Delnabo … boooo! We had the best time and the weather was fantastic, many thanks for helping with arrangements. Friday we visited a ceramic experience in Grantown-on-Spey, followed by a nice dinner at the Clockhouse restaurant in Tomintoul which had just opened that day. Saturday we did the art tour and afternoon tea at the Fife Arms in Braemar … the wee ones were able to entertain guests on the piano in reception. We also saw the whisky they have at £10,000 per dram .. ouch! At night we had someone come along to explain the dark skies to the girls … absolutely fascinating, they were full of questions for the chap who was doing it … think he was surprised. Sunday we had a massive easter egg hunt … no idea how the easter bunny found Delnabo … walk in the forest … visit to Ballindalloch Castle followed by fab dinner in the dining room supplied by Ghillies Kitchen. Monday we couldn't really go very far because the girls had arranged a full day of feeding cows and walking dogs with Katy and Dave. They had been doing that most days and for them it was the highlight of the holiday. You can safely pencil us in for next year.
Paterson family
Delnabo is a beautiful house and it is clear that the owners did not look to economize when renovating and equipping the house. Very nice beds and bath rooms, Katie was most helpful and kind, great living, kitchen and dining room, two washing machines and two big fridges and very complete equipment in the kitchen. Emma Bridgewater mugs, beautiful heavy curtains. Beautiful walks, fishing, swimming in the river.
