Dalness Lodge is situated in a dramatic setting on the 13,000 acre Dalness Estate in Glen Etive, and is set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in the Scottish Highlands.
The Lodge was recently renovated to an exceptionally high standard and can accommodate up to 15 guests in 7 bedrooms; all with en-suite or private bathrooms. It is a wonderful year-round venue for family gatherings or special occasions. Dalness is an ideal place to escape for long weekends or a seasonal break to enjoy walking, climbing one of the many Munros on the doorstep, or skiing at the nearby Glencoe Mountain Resort.
Lots of fun to be had on the little Orkney fishing boat on Loch Etive with its stunning scenery which also has a fish finder. Drop a crab line over the side or use a rod and hopefully catch lots of mackerel for dinner! There is also the opportunity to take a trip on the estate rib (only one outing per rental) down Loch Etive.
Salmon and brown trout fishing on the River Etive (spate river) is included. The beat is around 2 miles and has around 20 pools. The majority of the fishing is single right hand bank with double bank fishing opposite the lodge, taking in one of the most productive pools.
Red deer stalking and clay pigeon shooting are also available at Dalness.
As an alternative to the traditional sporting activities, Dalness can also arrange for guided hillwalking, loch kayaking, tutored photography and chauffeur tours.
The Lodge is 17 miles away from Glencoe and 32 miles from Fort William. Glasgow Airport is less than two hours away. Alternatively the overnight-sleeper train services Bridge of Orchy – a scenic 30 minute drive from the Lodge.
