Craiganour is a traditional sporting and agricultural estate located north of Loch Rannoch in Highland Perthshire. Extending to approximately 21,000 acres, the estate offers spectacular scenery and idyllic isolation while only an hour and half from the city of Perth, Scotland.
This luxurious Victorian shooting lodge has a unique 21st century interior and breath-taking views over Loch Rannoch.
Enjoy the views from the drawing room over to Schiehallion and Loch Rannoch.
The patio and outdoor seating area, overlooking the croquet lawn, is the perfect location to soak up the surroundings and enjoy the tranquillity.
The Lodge has been renovated and furnished to the highest of standards, combining modern style and convenience with traditional comfort and ambience. This, coupled with the idyllic rural surroundings with stunning views across Loch Rannoch, creates an unforgettable experience to share with your family, friends or colleagues.
Located within an hour and a half drive from Perth and a two and a half hour drive from Edinburgh, Craiganour Lodge is easily accessible. The Lodge is situated only 12 miles from Rannoch train station, which has a direct sleeper and regular trains to and from London Euston. Guests can be collected from Rannoch train station by arrangement.
The Lodge can comfortably accommodate large parties of up to eighteen guests within nine en-suite bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own character as well as wonderful views of the surrounding landscape.
Craiganour boasts the only Scottish Skyspace. This is an art installation created by American artist James Turrell who is best known for his work on the Roden Crater in Arizona. The Craiganour Skyspace is a beautifully designed and constructed folly, set in birch woodland, and attracts artists and non artists alike.
An oval aperture in the ceiling frames the sky to make it appear two dimensional and allows for the appreciation of light, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Time spent in the Skyspace is totally relaxing and is the perfect way to ease oneself into a day or wind down at the end.
The stalker will be able to take out one party per day up until mid September. Thereafter 2 parties per day.
Please note that walked up grouse days can only be offered in years where there are sufficient stocks.
Short breaks available upon request and dependent upon numbers.

Your recommendation of Craiganour was truly outstanding. Enhanced by a level of friendly service way and beyond expectations and great advice from Sonya. She is a remarkable person. The event went swimmingly culminating in a 5 course birthday dinner served by Sonya and Cameron and preceded by a piper organised by Sonya.
A memorable week for all.

Craiganour was fantastic. The staff, Eileen, Jim and Tom treated everyone like royalty and were extremely obliging, knowledgeable and nothing was any trouble. They all had a wonderful time and the chef’s meals were fantastic. It will definitely be kept on the radar for future ventures. Thanks again for all your help Jenny – always cheerful and a very knowledgeable star!

We had a super time at Craiganour. The house is wonderful. I guess I expected a tired large Victorian lodge with tired fittings to match. Which would have been fine cause the scale of the place is impressive and fun. But, instead, I was surprised to find the interior had been modernised and furnished with high quality and tasteful finishes. That, and the views to Schiehallion in the morning from the house, were jaw droppingly beautiful. And then, yes, we had snow, which just made the weekend all the more memorable. Sonya was terrific. She made us very welcome. She was very considerate. And she was patient. We appreciated everything she did. The chef that was recommended, John, was outstanding. Thank you for your input, it’s been a lovely experience. If I save enough money over the next 10 years and am still able, I hope to do it again for my 60th.
