This luxurious Victorian shooting lodge has a unique 21st century interior and breathtaking views over Loch Rannoch.
Enjoy the views from the drawing room over to Schiehallion and Loch Rannoch.
The patio and outdoor seating area, overlooking the croquet lawn, is the perfect location to soak up the surroundings and enjoy the tranquillity.
The Lodge has been renovated and furnished to the highest of standards, combining modern style and convenience with traditional comfort and ambience. This, coupled with the idyllic rural surroundings with stunning views across Loch Rannoch, creates an unforgettable experience to share with your family, friends or colleagues.
Located within an hour and a half drive from Perth and a two and a half hour drive from Edinburgh, Craiganour Lodge is easily accessible. The Lodge is situated only 12 miles from Rannoch train station, which has a direct sleeper and regular trains to and from London Euston. Guests can be collected from Rannoch train station by arrangement.
The Lodge can comfortably accommodate large parties of up to eighteen guests within nine en-suite bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own character as well as wonderful views of the surrounding landscape.
Craiganour boasts the only Scottish Skyspace. This is an art installation created by American artist James Turrell who is best known for his work on the Roden Crater in Arizona. The Craiganour Skyspace is a beautifully designed and constructed folly, set in birch woodland, and attracts artists and non artists alike.
An oval aperture in the ceiling frames the sky to make it appear two dimensional and allows for the appreciation of light, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Time spent in the Skyspace is totally relaxing and is the perfect way to ease oneself into a day or wind down at the end.
The stalker will be able to take out one party per day up until mid September. Thereafter 2 parties per day can normally be accommodated.
Please note that walked up grouse days can only be offered in years where there are sufficient stocks.
Short breaks available upon request and dependent upon numbers.
Accommodation
The Lodge can comfortably accommodate large parties of up to eighteen guests within nine en-suite bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own character as well as wonderful views of the surrounding landscape.
Each bedroom has either double or twin beds, all with en-suite facilities. There are four double bedrooms and five twin bedrooms. If required, any of the twin bedrooms can be converted to double bedrooms. With a further bedroom located on the ground floor, full disabled access can be gained.
Separate cook’s accommodation available.
The dining room, with open fire, can accommodate up to 18.
The drawing room has an open fire and views to Schiehallion and Loch Rannoch.
The common room benefits from a range of facilities including mini grand piano, plasma television with full Sky package, and a Bose DVD player with surround sound system.
Table tennis.

The Lodge has wireless broadband throughout.
There are full drying room and laundry facilities.
The lodge has 2 x travel cots and 1 x high chair.

Sporting
Craiganour Estate can offer stag stalking, hind stalking, walked-up grouse shooting (subject to stocks) and trout fishing.
Please note that walked up grouse days can only be offered in years where there are sufficient stocks.
The estate keeper has many years of experience and strives to ensure that guests have the best sporting experience whilst at Craiganour.
Fishing

Ghillie can be organised by prior arrangement
Please note that shoots are limited to a maximum number of eight guns.
The headkeeper can also take guests photography stalking and on guided tours of the hills. These can be on foot, by Argo or by Land Rover.
Clay pigeon shooting by prior arrangement.
There are numerous other activities available locally including water sports on Loch Rannoch, mountain biking, trout and salmon fishing on the River Tay and River Garry, Munro ‘bagging’ and golfing. The nearest local shop is approximately 1½ miles from the property and the nearby Perthshire towns of Aberfeldy and Pitlochry are within driving distance. Both have a good selection of shops and restaurants.
