Convalloch is one of our most charming large historic holiday homes. Originally a traditional Scottish farmhouse and steading, it was converted in the 1980s to form a single large holiday home which is now offered to guests as self-catering holiday accommodation.
With spectacular views of lower Strath Tay and surrounded by woodland, organic farmland and rolling moorland, Convalloch’s secluded yet accessible location makes it an ideal destination for a holiday break. The property houses up to ten guests in the main lodge and another two in the separate annex (which also has its own sitting room).
As with all our large historic holiday homes, Convalloch Lodge is beautifully laid out, with a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room complete with wood-burning stove and doors opening to the south-facing grass terrace, as well as a separate drawing room with television, DVD player and CD.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. A separate utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional freezer.
The lodge and annex have electric heating throughout.
Despite its seclusion, the lodge is only three miles from the A9, making it the perfect holiday home for anyone looking for a base from which to explore the many attractions of central Scotland.
Tennis players will appreciate the lodge’s tennis court, while nature lovers can discover the neighbouring Tulliemet Moor – Scotland’s largest designated conservation area – and fishing enthusiasts can take advantage of hill loch and salmon fishing, both just a few minutes’ drive from this large historic holiday home.
Convalloch Lodge sleeps 10 people. There is a separate annex which can accommodate a further 2 people. This is charged at an additional £225 per week, or £150 for a short break (3 nights).
