A family home since the early 1600s, this historic mansion is open to guests who are looking to immerse themselves in the seclusion of the Scottish countryside. Up to twenty guests are welcome to stay in the main house’s ten immaculate bedrooms, all of which are decorated to a high standard.

Fresh towels, linens, robes, Weaver Green throws, ironing facilities, hair dryer, safety deposit box and yoga mat in each bedroom. In addition, locally sourced Laura Thomas Co. plant-based amenities throughout. Guests can also enjoy the DAB Bluetooth Roberts Revival vintage radios in every bedroom.
Gilmerton provides two drawing rooms, a snug, billiards room, guest kitchen, catering kitchen, music room, an incredibly impressive and historic oak-panelled dining room lined with family portraits and antique books.

For al fresco dining and relaxation, guests can utilise the gas fire BBQ grill and outdoor firepit.
A fantastic range of garden games are possible at Gilmerton; Corn Hole, Table Tennis, Pétanque, Croquet, Yoga Mats and Badminton. Not to forget the new 220 yd driving range and practice area – clubs and range balls provided!
The Rose Garden at Gilmerton offers a superb venue for a marquee-based wedding reception and can accommodate large numbers. The site is within a picturesque, private and secluded area of the grounds and offers flexibility and choice for a bespoke occasion.
Guests are welcome to use the recently renovated Laundry House during their stay at Gilmerton. Originally built in 1804, this stunning event space is perfect for celebratory dinners, parties and receptions. Gilmerton work with some fabulous local suppliers and event stylists who can help transform this space into the perfect backdrop for any celebration… The Laundry House offers a private event space for up to 100 guests.
Gilmerton Lodge is a 3-bedroomed detached period property located just outside the main gates to Gilmerton House. The Lodge provides 5-star self-catered accommodation. Comprising 1 x master double bedroom with ensuite shower room, 2 further bedrooms (1 x double & 1 x twin), a large bathroom with separate bath and shower, a spacious open-plan living area with wood burning stove and kitchen. The Lodge has a large private garden with terrace. High-speed fibre optic Wi-Fi throughout.
