Diebidale Lodge enjoys a commanding position in complete privacy surrounded by the majestic mountains of Glencalvie with views to the east and west coasts from the higher ground. In the autumn guests will wake to the enticing sound of roaring stags in the hills.
Glencalvie has some of the finest salmon fishing, for up to six rods, on the River Carron including the famous Falls pool on the Glencalvie beat. There are also a number of hill lochs with both stocked and wild brown trout. Diebidale Lodge provides high quality accommodation for fishing and stalking parties of up to ten guests.
The Glencalvie Estate, approached through part of the Caledonian Forest at the head of the Strathcarron, is one of the finest sporting estates in the Highlands. Extending to over 20,000 acres, the ground rises to the top of Carn Chuinneag at 2,749 ft, providing stunning views to the east and west coasts.
Glen Diebidale and Glencalvie are some of the most picturesque glens in this part of Rosshire. They are home to a variety of wildlife including, red, sika and roe deer. It is possible to see golden eagles, ptarmigan, grouse and many resident and migratory smaller species.
Glencalvie Estate is one hour from Inverness mainline station and 1 1/4 hours from Inverness Airport.

Diebidale Lodge occupies a wonderful, secluded position on the Glencalvie Estate and enjoys superb 360 degree views.
Diebidale Lodge is situated in a commanding but secluded position towards Glen Diebidale on the Glencalvie Estate. The lodge can accommodate up to 10 guests, and comprises double, twin and single bedrooms. An open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room area provides an informal and comfortable atmosphere where one can sit by the log fire with a dram of Glencalvie Whisky in one’s hand and recount the stories of the day. This is the perfect retreat for the sportsman or family who wish to enjoy the Highlands in comfort and quiet. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests.
The Glencalvie Estate has some of the best salmon fishing on the River Carron including the famous Falls Pool. There are also a number of hills lochs on the estate with both wild and stocked brown trout. Boats are available on three of the lochs.
The Glencalvie beat Glencalvie water is a 2 rod beat and has some of the best fishing on the river including the famous Falls Pool. The river rises principally in Gleann Beag and Gleann Mor absorbing its major tributaries the Alladale River, the Diebidale Water and the Blackwater before descending 7 miles to the Kyle of Sutherland at Bonar Bridge.
The Gruinards beat The Gruinards beat extends to approximately 4 miles of right bank fishing, which includes a variety of pools and runs providing excellent fishing in most conditions. There are 27 main pools on the beat including the well known Upper and Lower Craigs, Keepers, Pigeon Rock, The Morail, Gardeners, the Boat Pool and the Washer Woman. There is good vehicular and pedestrian access to the beat throughout.
Gruinards which lies opposite Braelangwell is a 4 rod beat. The 2 estates have a longstanding arrangement to ensure there is no one fishing opposite. A ghillie is usually provided throughout your stay.
Stalking Glencalvie offers some of the finest and challenging stalking on the east coast with 2 rifles taking up to 5-10 stags each week during August, September and October.
The estate has red, sika and roe deer, and is traversed by well maintained pony tracks. You will have the services of two stalkers. If required, additional stalking can be rented in the area.
